Adya Devi Trivedi
Mother, Warrior, Invincible
Mother, Warrior, Invincible
BACK TO BASICS ' '
Full Name: Adya Devi Trivedi (can be interpreted as 'the first goddess that knows all the sacred knowledge.')
Preferred Name(s): Adya and Ms. Trivedi to her students.
Adya- Sanskrit; means 'the first' or 'Mother Earth.' Adya is another name for Durga, and it is believed that Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Kali are all the forms of Durga. These forms then split into another three forms each, creating nine forms, which is why the nine manifestations of Durga are known as Navadurga (nine goddess Durgas).
Devi- Sanskrit; means 'goddess.' Durga was a goddess, so it fits just right.
Trivedi- Sanskrit; means 'one that knows the three Vedas.' The Vedas are the oldest Indian texts and since Durga is an ancient goddess, it fits as well. Also, it's similar to 'Tridevi,' the three ultimate goddesses, who are all forms of Durga.
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Orientation Heterosexual
Position Desired: Martial Arts Teacher
Celeb you're using: Deepika Padukone
Deity: Durga - culture (Indian)
Title of your deity: Virgin Warrior Goddess of Divine Energy, Force, Power, and Victory of Good over Evil; Adi Shakti (the original power); Adi Maya (the original illusion caster); Material Manifestation of the Brahman; The Mother Goddess; has another thousand names, literally. Try counting them. I dare you.
Power/Ability: Invulnerability- Adya, just like Durga, is invulnerable to any sort of physical trauma. She cannot be bruised or cut and the only thing that affects her is aging. Even then, Adya does not show signs of aging. Granted, she is only 23, but she can easily pass as a senior rather than a teacher. She is, though, not invulnerable to psychic attacks, As a warrior goddess, her invulnerability is increased and she is known for her carelessness when in battle as she can't be hurt. Adya also cannot feel any sort of pain, which is why she has no problem in putting her hand in a cauldron of boiling water.. If she is stabbed, the blade will simply slide off her skin; if she is shot, the bullet will hit her body and fall to the ground. Her invulnerability is further increased due to Durga being the goddess of Power. This means that her body is more resistant to powerful impacts, such as a car hitting her. She will, for example, still be thrown across a field, but the distance that she is thrown will be decreased. She also does not show signs of thirst, starvation, or sleep deprivation. This does not mean that she doesn't need to eat, drink, or sleep; what it means is that her body is not affected by these conditions. Also, her strength is increased, allowing her to deliver more powerful attacks. If she wants to, she can easily break a few bones, punch a whole through a wall, or even pick up a car.
STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance: Adya is the definition of the word 'beautiful.' She is extremely proud to be a woman and likes to wear dresses and skirts. While she is not the biggest fan of short skirts and tight tops, she does not hate them. Adya is very flirtatious and knows how to use her body to her advantage. She has long eyelashes that she will flutter to get what she wants. She is not a manipulator; she just knows how to get what she wants.
Adya has an affinity for heels and that's all she wears. She does not like to wear sneakers or anything similar. Adya stands at 5'8" and while she is not very tall, she has a powerful and confident demeanor. Her skin is a light shade of brown and has never once gotten darker despite her time in the Sun. She has brown eyes that are both welcoming and dangerous, giving her a mysterious and ancient aura. She is somewhat unpredictable and mixed with her looks, she has been known to make a few men uncomfortable.
Adya has brown hair and lots of it. She likes to keep it in waves whenever she is teaching or just lounging around. When she dances or goes to battle, Adya keeps her hair loose just like Durga. Adya does not have a single scratch or scar on her body and this is attributed to her invulnerability. She also does not have a single birthmark or freckle on her body. Adya also has an uncanny ability to never get dirty. This is not any sort of power or magical ability. She just never gets dirty. Even when fighting, she doesn't get dirty.

Personality Description: Despite her motherly nature, Adya always likes to be in charge. She has a great dislike for the questioning of authority and while she is not conceited, she thinks highly of herself. She does not expect people to worship her, but she expects people to recognize her greatness and achievements. Adya likes to be in control and will make events fall in her favour. If this fails, she will not give up. Instead, Adya will try even harder to make the outcome fall in her favour. She has never once given up and will not do so in the future. She has made a vow that the day that she has to give up is the day that she will kill herself.
Adya is quite flirtatious and enjoys interacting with men. She likes men doing things for her and has no problems with wearing revealing clothing in order to gain control over men. Adya has quite a few female enemies due to her constantly flirting with men, even men in relationships. She also flirts with Seniors that she teaches and this is not a problem to her as she is only 23.
Adya's other weakness is that she is careless when it comes to fighting. As she is invulnerable, she sees no need to protect herself and will even allow the enemy to strike her just so she can laugh at them. This has gotten her into trouble as she also believes that anyone who fights alongside her is also invulnerable and does not need protection. She sometimes has to be reminded that she needs to protect her friends and allies. Her carelessness also extends to her daily life. She has no problem with touching an extremely hot pan with her bare hands as she does not feel pain. She will push herself to extreme lengths and is not scared of dying. After all, the only thing that can really kill her is time.
Adya is an expert dancer and loves to dance. When dancing, she will release her inhibitions and go all out, dancing as if the world depends on it. She is especially talented at classical dancing and likes to teach it. However, she is not always the best teacher as she does not like mistakes when it comes to dancing. If you make a mistake, be prepared to receive some serious scolding.
One of her greatest weaknesses is her motherly nature. Adya cannot stand to see anyone, especially, children in pain and will do everything that she can to take away the pain. This is easier due to her empathy. Adya also cannot stand to see sinners alive and will literally destroy anyone who has caused pain to someone intentionally. This is why it is best to be on your best behaviour when in front of her. If any of her students act up in her class, she of course will not destroy them. That's just plain wrong. Instead, she will give them punishments that can be considered as both unusual and creative. The only thing that can disrupt Adya's anger are her maternal instincts, which are on a higher level than the average woman.
Adya's anger is quite powerful and when she becomes angry, it is difficult to calm her down. This is attributed to her training as a warrior and as her being the reincarnation of Durga. She does not take insults lightly and while she will not throw a temper tantrum, she will return the insult. Adya's anger is like a raging fire: once it has begun, it is difficult to stop it. The only thing that can stop it is if she sees someone, especially a child or a woman, in pain. She is more kind towards women and children and, while she does have female enemies, she likes to turn those enemies into friends. Adya knows that her anger is uncontrollable and this is why she will isolate herself when she becomes angry. If she were to ever feel anger or hate, she will warn you to leave her alone as there is a high chance that you won't make it out alive.

WELCOME TO MY LIFE ' '
Place of Origin: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh; moved to New York when she was 17
History:
Adya was born to Sakshi and Nahar Trivedi on September 28, 1989. It was believed that their child would be able to defeat a ruthless general that was terrorizing their city. When Adya was born, people believed that she had been a mistake. After all, she was a girl, not a boy. Her parents, though, only smiled and told people that she was Adi Parashakti in human form. Her parents loved her dearly and when she turned 9, they began to train her in sword-fighting and martial arts. She liked sword-fighting better and began to expand her training, deciding to train with other weapons. It was a difficult road for her but she loved it. Not only did she get to outshine all of the men and boys, but she got to do things that a normal girl wouldn't be able to do. Adya had always enjoyed learning about Rani Lakshmibai, a warrior queen, and realized that she was training just as the Rani had. The only downside was that she was cut off from all her friends and was home schooled. Nothing was to interfere with her training.
When Adya turned 13, she decided to battle the general and his army. Her parents were overjoyed and told her that they were extremely proud of her. However, when the realization that their daughter was going to war finally sunk in, her parents become anxious. They finally realized that there was a chance that Adya would not make it out alive. After all, the enemies had guns and she had two swords. Her parents tried to get her to stay but Adya refused. Her parents watched her go off to battle and ran to a nearby temple of Durga, praying for the victory of their daughter. At first, it seemed that Adya would lose as the enemies constantly dodged all of her attacks. They did not want to hurt a child, but their general told them that either she died or they died. They shot at her and were shocked when the bullets didn't cause any damage to her. Adya used their shock against them, attacking her enemies while they were frozen with surprise. The general shot at her as well but nothing happened. The battle lasted for nine nights, just like the battle between Durga and Mahisasura. On the tenth day, the only person left standing was Adya.
After the battle, Adya vowed to defeat any enemy who crossed her path. She trained even more in fighting, but also trained in the art of dancing. She had always enjoyed dancing and liked to combine her dancing with her training. Everyone who had doubted her apologized and they personally asked her to train their soldiers. She gladly accepted and made sure that the men who she trained were ready before going to battle. She even trained the men of other cities and it was partly due to her that the strength of the Indian army increased. She also began to attend public school, reuniting with all of her old friends. However, like every other story, there was always jealousy.
A few of Adya's male classmates became jealous of her and believed that it was not right for a girl to train men. They teased her and insulted her, calling her a transvestite and other horrible names. She tried to ignore them but when they insulted her family, Adya became upset. She used her increased strength to pin them against a wall and showed them just how powerful she actually was. The boys never again bothered her and constantly avoided her.
When Adya turned 17, her family moved to New York in order for her to attend a good university. Her family, despite living in the religious capital of India, was also very modern and spoke perfect English. Her parents had no issues with getting jobs. Her father became a businessman and her mother became a university History teacher. Adya became friends with many people and even dated a few boys. She vowed, though, that she would abstain from sex until she was married. Even then, she would only have sex in order to have children. If this vow is broken in the future, which may happen, she won't blame herself. She'll blame her looks. She's extremely beautiful, so technically it's not her fault, right?
After a few years, she was contacted by Pantheon Academy. She had never heard of the school but when she found it that it was a school for people like her, she became excited. She had always wanted to meet people who were just like her. Adya was surprised when they asked her to be the Martial Arts teacher. She heartily accepted, knowing that this was exactly what she wanted to.

ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '
(This is from another site)
Through the fence of the school, countless children stared at the sight before them. Five teenage girls, physically identical, walked down the street, an aura of power and confidence surrounding them. Their steps were in unison and they were dressed identically. A few of the older boys whistled and the girls didn't seem to notice. In fact, they seemed oblivious to their surroundings. The children could not help but notice their eyes. Cold and piercing, they seemed to have an unearthly glow that could only be described as 'inhuman.' The shrill and echoing school bell rang and all of the children jumped with surprise. That was, everyone except the five Cuckoos. They didn't even so much as twitch when the bell rang. They were an unique bunch. Of course, in their case, unique was a euphemism.
The five girls walked past the school and continued to walk straight ahead. As they passed the end of the school fence, two teenage boys jumped over the fence, landing right in the path of the five girls.
"Where d'ya think you're going?"
The five girls immediately stopped walking and their eyes appeared to become colder. The girls did not answer back but just stood in place. The boys looked at one another, slightly confused. Although the girls did not form a facial expression, the boys could tell that they enjoyed their confusion.
"Are you mute? He asked you a question."
The girls, once again, did not answer. Puzzled, one of the boys stepped forward, slightly frightened that the girls would suddenly attack him. It was always the quiet and odd ones who were vicious.
The girls swiftly turned their heads toward him. The girl at the far left, Sophie, was the first one to speak, followed by Phoebe, then Mindee, then Celeste, and finally Esme."One should not think such derogatory thoughts at a young age."
Startled and frightened, the boys looked at each other, expressions of shock plastered on their faces. Each girl had finished off each others sentence, causing the boys to feel very uncomfortable.
"Wh-what's wrong with you?"
The five girls answered his question with luminescent white eyes. Startled, the boys backed away, their shocked expressions changing into frightened faces.
"You...you're those mutant freaks!"
The five, unusual girls only smiled, their eyes becoming brighter. They all spoke in complete unison.
"Freaks? We are not the freaks."
