Power/Ability: Magnetic Manipulation- The Earth is magnetized. As god of the Earth, Sebastian can make magnetism his proverbial bitch. Also, in order to keep Geb and Nut away from each other so the world wouldn’t end, there was ‘force’ between them in order to keep them separated. Sebastian’s had the ability forever so he’s considerably more powerful than most of the other magnetic manipulators (though he’s only ever met himself so of course he’s better than others). He gained most of his knowledge about what he can do by watching TV or reading up on it. Of course, the education helped as well, but mostly it was the TV and the reading up on it. Apparently, according to the internet, Sebastian is capable of putting up magnetic force-fields, limited flight, geomagnetic link, bond metallic substances, control iron in other people’s bodies, gain superhuman strength/stamina/durability/reflexes/speed from the earth natural magnetism, and “do cool magnetic stuff that makes it look like telekinesis but it’s not.” Of course, these are all theories. He’s yet to try many of these and mostly just goofs around with his ability. Unless he’s training students, then he can focus and do some of the stuff he’s supposed to be able to do that TV and his degree tells him is possible.
Should there ever be a Nut reincarnate of the same age (which I doubt), the magnetic force will push her away from him. One of the adverse effects of the ability.
STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance: Sebastian is of average height and build, nothing too special. He keeps in shape because otherwise he feels like a slob. Not too in shape, because he doesn’t want to look like a freak on steroids or an Abercrombie model, but not scrawny either. Regardless, it’s a fine line he walks between the two.
He’s not exactly a young man anymore so he doesn’t have the youthful vigor of his students, but he does have the handsomeness and sophistication that comes with age. He’s tanned from being outside mostly since he’s not big on tanning beds. He is big on sports though, which probably accounts for the tanning as well. MMA and boxing being among his most favorite activities, he has a lot of upper arm strength.
He has naturally dark hair that is always a bit tussled and will occasionally grow facial hair if the mood strikes him. He’s starting to go a bit gray, though at the moment it’s just a streak here and there. His daughter has caught him dying it, so it’s a mystery as to how gray he really is. He also has big doe eyes that are a deep chocolate brown. Since he’s not exactly stoic in any sense of the word, he tends to be fairly animated in his facial features.
Sebastian dresses very well. Since he’s the inheritor of at least to conglomerates, he can afford it and will go to great lengths to look good in whatever he happens to be wearing at the moment. While he can be goofy, he looks good while doing it.

Personality Description: In many ways, Sebastian isn’t much different than his students. He’s fairly childish, behaves irrationally and enjoys using his abilities for even the most inane things. Sebastian enjoys goofing off, drinking, making a ruckus, talking really fast because he knows it annoys the rest of the staff, fighting, and sex, though they draws the line at sex with students and won’t even go there because, in his words, “Yuck.” Sebastian tends to annoy his co-workers because he has an extremely short attention span. He’s probably more in tuned with his students because he’s not a hard ass and often acts more like them than he does as the adult he should be.
When it comes to things like physics, Newton’s Laws, Earth sciences, etc., he’ll shift into teacher mode at the drop of a hat and immediately makes it accessible to his students and fun because he lets them use their abilities in order to drive home a lesson. This only annoys the staff further as the Forces building is usually in a disarray because, being immature, he allows kids to use their abilities whenever they want, so long as it’s not against each other because “That’s not cool.”
Sebastian can be quite serious when it comes to the females. He likes women, a lot, and enjoys their company, being around them, etc. He enjoys the company of the womens and will not hesitate to flirt up a storm with his fellow colleagues. While it can be cute and enduring one minute, it rapidly gets old the next, then, the minute after, one just has to realize that this is who he is: he’s an idiot. Even in non-sexual situations, he likes hanging around women. His female students find that it’s easy to get their way with him because he’s had a daughter of his own at one point and it’s hard for him to say no to girls that remind him of his kid. Turn on the water works, and he’s even more of a softy. Most of the female psychic population doesn’t really need to use their abilities on him because, so long as it’s not going on a shooting rampage or something like that, he’s going to say yes. It can be frustrating to no end for his male students.
Though, just because Sebastian is childish, it doesn’t mean he dresses like the kids and tries to use their lingo. He’s well aware that he’s forty and he’s going to be ‘out of the loop’ sometimes, but that doesn’t tend to bring him down. He dresses quite nicely, because he can afford it, and doesn’t mind flaunting his yuppie tendencies for all to see. He even lets his students drive his cars from time to because he can afford new ones if they mess those up. Plus, he can just magnetically put them back together again, send them off to get a pain job and some new parts and they’re good as new. The cars, not the kids. If they get hurt, he’s going to shunt them off to Dr. Leight with a sheepish grin.
And yes, he knows his surname is the same surname as a family of Hobbits. Thank you for pointing that out.

History:
Sebastian grew up as a rich kid with too much time on his hands. He didn’t really want for anything because he got everything. He didn’t need clothes, food, any of that junk. He more or less was born with a golden spoon in his mouth and a solid gold training toilet ready for him. His mother was the daughter of a water tycoon, holding a monopoly on several water supplies spread internationally and his father ran a rather prestigious airline. Life was great. Then he realized he could control magnetism and life became even greater. Since he had nothing but time on his hands as a rich toddler, he would mess around with magnetic force, bending spoons, collapsing pots, causing his toys to float. He can’t lie, it was super. As he got older, he found new and creative ways to use his abilities. He could float super fast like those magnetic trains they have now built. He could raise super heavy stuff, like his cars. He could rebuild them and shape them into weird things. With practice, he became more interest in the physics of it, how magnetism worked, its properties, the rules thereof. So, he began to study.
Then, there was a slight snag. His mother had always wanted a daughter and her solution was to adopt a sixteen year old girl around the time Sebastian turned sixteen. Her name was Nisha. She also happened to be hot. It was awkward. But, as a sixteen year old with hormones meeting another sixteen year old with hormones, the usual thing happened. There was very brief courting period and then the two were all over each other. This carried on for awhile, in the secrecy of various houses the family owned, until they were legally adults.
Eventually, their parents found out about the relationship and were less than pleased, citing things like incest and what not, ignoring the fact that Nisha was adopted, hence no blood relation, and the fact that they met each other when they were sixteen, not infants raised together as infants. Sebastian and Nisha therefore were promptly kicked out to one of the family’s lesser homes in the Hamptons (oh no!) where they were content to just bask with each other, go to prestigious schools, and be awesome. Sebastian found that he was actually quite smart when it came to
When the couple was about twenty-three, Sebastian heard the words no guy who’d rather party than be mature wants to hear: Nisha was pregnant. That’s when Sebastian disappeared for several days. When he came back, Nisha apparently did the same, though they both came back at the same time because they were one of those creepy couples that are oddly in-tuned with each other. Due to Nisha’s freaking out because she knew, for a fact, that Sebastian was not the father-type, she left him and had what was apparently a multiple birth elsewhere. That’s about all he was able to find out since Nisha was rather good at hiding herself.
With the love of his life gone, Sebastian threw himself in work, studying, drinking and the pleasures of the flesh. He was good at that too. Since he really didn’t care much what happened to him, he started getting into a lot of trouble, being arrested several times, being bailed out several times and being threatened with losing his inheritance several times. Finally, he was able to straighten out and fly straight, so he toned it down a bit. When his parents eventually kicked the bucket, he of course inherited it all, but mostly left the running of his parents’ respective enterprises to the chair members, stepping in only when he thought they were about to be horrible people and make his company do horrible things. He did still have a conscience.
When he was in his late thirties, a fifteen-year-old girl showed up on his doorstep. She was a pretty girl with blue eyes that looked strangely like his mother’s and dark hair that looked strangely like his ex’s. She was, also strangely, his kid with lots of blood-tests to prove it. When he inquired about her mother, she shrugged and said she’d never known her, just followed a trail that led back to him. It wasn’t quite the reunion he hoped for, expecting something akin to crying and hugging like on TV, but instead, after some preliminary blood tests, she just walked into his life and immediately made herself at home. He was happy, of course, but it was kind of a disappointing reunion.
Then, she dropped the bombshell that she was actually a multiple birth. Another girl was out there somewhere, though the two were separated early on due to ‘freak’ occurrences. Since she was weirdly cryptic about the whole thing, he didn’t press it further.
That’s about the time Pantheon contacted him and offered him, of all things, a freakin’ teaching job for Fundamental Forces Manipulation, having read several of his papers on the subject. After tell them to call back in an hour, then laughing about a school that actually trusted him with students, the school called back and he took the job.
CONNECTION TO THE MYTH ' '
- Geb was the god of the Earth. He was also separated from his sister-wife by a deity because they had sex too much. Sebastian has magnetism manipulation, an earth based power. Also, he had the hots for his adopted sister.
- Geb’s sister-wife was named Nut and she was goddess of the sky. Sebastian’s adopted sister was named Nisha (which means night) and their names both start with N’s.
- Geb and Nut were very much in love. So were Sebastian and Nisha.
- Geb and Nut were separated because they had sex too much and weren’t letting the other deities out. Sebastian and Nisha were separated because Nisha was enceinte, both of them freaked and took off in the opposite direction.
- Geb and Nut had quadruplets: Osiris and Set, Isis and Nephtys. Sebastian knows for sure he has a daughter, but he’s not sure about the other child that was born.
- Geb’s daughter Nephthys is an underworld goddess of sorts. Sebastian’s daughter is a gothy kid.
