STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance:
Since Akemi was raised in Hawaii, she’s often mistaken for Polynesian. However, she is not; Ake is Japanese. Her hair is long, cascading in a straight waterfall of raven black, down to her navel. It’s naturally stick-straight, and only curls when she puts a great amount of time and effort to curl it. Thick, and silky smooth, Akemi always makes sure it’s kept clean, and that it always shines. She tends to part it slightly to the side, leaving it down. On occasion though, she’ll put it up in a French braid, if she’s surfing, swimming, or doing anything where long hair might get in the way.
Akemi’s skin is the color of light bronze, evidence of her Japanese heritage. She never burns from sunlight, though has a dark tan from living in Hawaii all of her life. Her skin is soft from her moisturizing every day, as she takes meticulous care of her body. She stands at five feet, nine inches; Akemi is all legs, with a small upper body. Her bust is of average size, not too big, and not too small. Ake has muscles, but they aren’t pronounced, just evident when she’s fighting, swimming or surfing. When someone first looks at Akemi, they might think of her build as willowy, lean, and possibly frail. She’s anything but, with her skills in Judo, Aikido, and Kendo, three forms of Japanese martial arts, and her basic knowledge of the Hawaiian art of Lua.
She has a heart shaped-face, which is delicately framed by her hair. Medium sized, almond shaped eyes the color of dark chocolate seem to lure you in if you stare to long. Akemi’s eyes are always shining, like everything is hilarious. Mauve lips fall into an easy smile at any moment, warm, and inviting. When Ake speaks, her voice is of a lower timbre than most girls, with a slight mix of Japanese and Hawaiian accents, due to her speaking Japanese at home, and English and Hawaiian at school and outside her home.
LET'S GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER ' '
Personality Description:
Akemi is a rather…interesting person. Overall, she’s artistic, creative, passionate, chatty, fierce, active, intuitive, cunning and love-drunk. She loves to create – music, art, stories, you name it, and she’ll make it. After years of practicing the creative, visual and performing arts, she’s gotten to be pretty good at it too-it’s not like she’s a wannabe artist. Ake isn’t arrogant about it either, in fact, she hates it when people listen in on her playing, or read her stories. She’s very modest that way.
Ake loves to swimming, it’s her lifestyle, and wants to make it to USS Nationals, and eventually, the Olympics. She a very active girl, always running, surfing, swimming, or practicing her skills in martial arts. Ake hates being lazy and unhealthy. She strives for a healthy lifestyle – always eating what she needs, not what she wants. Akemi also knows how to make a witty remark, or trick someone into doing what she wants, without any special power. That’s how cunning she can be. School can be somewhat of a bore to her, since it comes so easily to her. She’s always been an extremely intelligent child. Ake hates it was people lose their cool, and when they do, she always commands them to calm down. Akemi is a very controlling person who doesn’t like to be denied anything.
Akemi is very passionate – both in and out of love. She loves life, and just existing is enough to put a smile on her face. Give her a cause, and she’ll do anything in her power to help it – until, of course, she finds a new power. Ake tends to get love-drunk when she’s in a relationship. To her, being in love is the best thing in the world – other than the ocean. She quite often falls too hard too fast for a guy – something that’s inherited from her mother’s side, the romantics in the family. Akemi is also fierce if you happen to get her riled up, which is no easy task. Unless, of course, it concerns the welfare of the oceans.

WELCOME TO MY LIFE ' '
Place of Origin: Birth – Nagasaki, Japan; Raised – Maui, Hawaii, USA
History:
Born to single a Japan Marine Biologist, and a non-existent, romantic, Japanese woman, Akemi never had an easy life. As the only child, she was constantly being told that she had to do this and that, perfectly. She was always under high expectations, and severe punishments if she didn’t meet them. Her father was forever watching over her, a stern eye following her every move. Somehow, though, she managed to stay a bright, big, ball of sunshine and happiness.
When Akemi was four, her father received a job offer in Maui, as a professor, and head of a project at a local college. This was a step up from where he was working in Japan and immediately accepted the offer. He and his daughter relocated to the Hawaiian island of Maui within two weeks of him accepting. Akemi quickly picked up the English and Hawaiian languages, because she used both in school. She was constantly being mistaken for a native islander by non-Hawaiians, because of her coloring. At an early age, she began surfing and swimming lessons. After all, when you lived in a large house on the shores of Maui, you’re bound to pick up both rather quickly, especially when aforementioned house has an ocean-fed pool.
At about the age of eight, Akemi began to notice that at night, she would dream of being a sea dragon, soaring through both water and air. Sometimes, she would wake in the middle of the night and see claws instead of hands, or she would have silver scales instead of her normal bronze skin. It always confused her, but Ake would fall back asleep and dismiss it as a dream the next morning. Eventually, she would wake in the mornings to find herself a silver and blue dragon, the colors of the sea. Akemi never told her father, for the fear of being punished for lying.
At the hormone-crazed age of sixteen, Akemi fell in love with a local boy, named Orion. At first, Ake’s father disapproved of the boy, however, Orion quickly won him over. They dated for almost two years, uneventfully, before Orion ruined it all. He was sneaking in one morning to visit Akemi, and just before coming in her door, he witnessed her change in a dragon. It terrified him and Akemi both. Ake fled, leaving Orion behind, sending only the doll he’d given her long ago, weeks after the incident happened. Akemi was crushed, but eventually moved on. It was not long after that that Ake received a letter from Pantheon Academy stating that she was Otohime, Dragon Princess from the Sea. Her father didn’t believe it, and refused to let her go. A week after she got the letter, to women came to explain everything to Akemi and her father. Eventually, Mr. Mitsu caved and let her attend Pantheon Academy.

ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '
Ash sighed, why must his privacy be invaded all of the time? Yes, the fire-birds quite often helped people intrude, but they were only doing what they thought would help Ash. It'd always been that way. "It's rather simply. Just empty your mind of any thoughts, emotions, anything. Leave nothing inside. It helps if you close your eyes," answered Ash, somewhat gruffly. He doubted that Kinkade would be able to do this, the boy seemed to have an issue with random thought patterns and excitement issues.
"Yes. Ireland is my home. Inch Island to be exact. I was 'king', so to speak, in Ireland's tradition. Sister's son would be next in line, but seeing as she's younger than me, it's going to be a while." When the boy said Ireland must have been beautiful, Ash scoffed. Ireland was more than beautiful. It was wild, magical, mysterious. There were many a local legends that claimed that to fey were real. Ash partly believed in them as well, he'd caught a glimpse of their world, their king, Finvarra, once. And because he sort of had too, as King of Inch Island, or 'island isalnd', as the name translated out to be.
"Calling Ireland beautiful is like calling a poisinous snake safe to handle. Completely and utterly wrong. There is no word to describe Erin. Only myths, legends, and the fey can. You have to have lived in Erin as long as I have to understand. Not many do unless they were born and raised there." When Antoine and Sai came to the doorway, he rolled his eyes. So they were like lemmings, where one went, the others followed. Closing his eyes again, he once again emptied his mind. Nothing. Not even a sign of life. Just..white, no, not even that. One by one, Ash relaxed his muscles until his entire body was limp, all tension gone. It was part of the excercises that he'd been taught by family friends."Cén fáth a bhfuil tú ag cur as dom?" he asked in Irish, not that he expected them to understand. It was said without emotion, conviction or any kind of connotation.
