Physical Appearance:
Allie has light hair, and almost clear eyes. The contrast is startling, every aspect of her is opposite of her family. She emits an almost ethereal feel, with her short, cropped, golden red hair. Despite having live on a farm in Kansas all of her life, she is as pale a moonlight, as her skin never seems to tan. Her facial features are very delicate, and elegant looking, drawing in her onlookers. She often wears her hair in a low ponytail, but occasionally, she’ll wear it down, and when she does, it frames her heart-shaped face. Her speaking voice is high, but not whiny, it’s soft, and soothing. When she sings, a high, clear soprano sounds.
The only dark feature on her body is her eyelashes. Thick and black, they frame her large, clear blue eyes. The color of her eyes are like a field of unripe wheat – green, piercing, and beckoning to you. They’re bright, but not watery, and seem to fall into the recurring theme of paleness. Pale mauve lips hide straight white teeth. Allie, being long-legged, stand at a towering five feet, ten inches, and stand over all of her siblings. She’s very slim, weighing only about 140 pounds. Most days you’ll find her wearing short, frilly dresses, or in the winter time, skinny jeans, a sweater, and a scarf.

Growing up as the eldest of six children, Allie took on a motherly role, making sure the little ones were dressed, fed, and got everyone to school. She tends to fret about, making sure everyone’s fine, and dandy. She also makes sure everyone is behaving. Allie is the type of person you can go and talk to, and she’ll let you pour your heart out, then Allie will do the best she can to cheer you up. Like a mother, Allie is always there for you, and ready to go to great lengths for those that she loves.

Albany tends not to say means things, or have much sarcasm, because when you raise five other kids on a farm, you honestly can’t be mean or cruel. Even though her father is a farming tycoon, who is a major produce supplier to all many different chain stores, Allie isn’t the typical rich girl. She isn’t mean, or ruthless, unless she gets upset.

Plant Manipulation –
Allie has the ability to make plants grow, ripen and age. She can make vines and other plants move without touching them, just by controlling them with her mind. Plants seem to come alive when she touches them, always facing her. Allie can heal a sick plant, by drawing the sickness into herself and putting in good energy into the plant. She can also kill a plant, but she’d never do so, unless it was absolutely necessary. Also, being able to manipulate plants, she knows immediately what kind of plant and if it’s edible, when she reaches out a ‘touches’ it with her mind, it’s a sort of reflex to know if a plant could be utilized as a crop, as Demeter was the Goddess of the Harvest.

Dysfunctional. If there was one word that could describe Allie’s family, that would be it. The father is a bit of a nutcase, and the mother is a psychotic, over-protective, over-bearing mother grizzly. Even the children were a little odd, one son loving the ocean, one was a control freak, and the third son always believed in the creatures of myth – ghosts, vampires, etc. The girls were slightly more normal, although one was a bitch, the next the very opposite of her sister, and then Allie, the mother figure of the family. The eldest was Adara, the kindest of them all, followed by Allie, the motherly type, and next, Maeve, the distrustful, jealous, brat. Hayden was the eldest son, born after Maeve, he was the one who loved the spectral ideals. Dylan was next, the swimmer in the family; and the youngest of them all, Rian – the control freak.
Allie was born on the summer solstice, a time of celebration and harvesting. As second born, she was soon tasked with helping raise the rest of the children, along with Adara. Allie was the one who grew the food, in her own garden – after developing her power of plant manipulation at the age of five, Allie’s produce was always deemed the best - and Adara was the one who slaved away in the kitchen. The parents were never very involved in the Masen children’s lives, unless it involved their grades, or social life. In which case, Jordanna would become iron-fisted. The children were never allowed to go out with their friends, forced to stay on the farm, but of course, they almost always snuck out.
On one of these aforementioned sneak outs, Allie met Iris Kore, an English newcomer to the area. They quickly became best of friends, always doing everything together. The year Allie turned eighteen, something tragic happened. It was summer time, and Allie and Iris were enjoying the day outside in one of the nearby fields that was covered in wildflowers. Allie went off to check up on her family a little ways away, leaving Iris to pick flowers. As Allie walked away, there was a soft thud, and a little yelp. Upon Allie’s return, Iris was gone, broken flowers scattered around. Hayden too, was gone.
Winter came early that year, and Allie fell into a deep depression. She didn’t want to do anything, and all of the house plants slowly died, as she didn’t care to use her powers to help them grow. The search for Iris was on the brink of falling through, since technically, she was an adult. No one could make Allie feel better, not even kind Adara. It wasn’t until the first day of spring that Iris was found, and Hayden found with her. Both were alive, although Iris was scarred. Hayden was charged with kidnapping, and exiled from the Masen family, even though he was only sixteen.
The next summer harvest was the most fruitful the farming community of Dublin had ever experienced – Allie was so happy for Iris’s return, she spent most of her days walking through fields of different crops giving the plants positive energy to grow and bear amazing amounts of produce. It was astounding to the surrounding farms, the increase of profits was practically overwhelming. One of the farmers – the young Iain, fell in love with Allie, and she in love with him. They spent the afternoon lying in a field of wildflowers, when Rian came upon them. Iain disappeared days later, found beaten to death. Rian had acted suspicious for days, causing Allie to secretly blame him.
Two years later, and Allie has gotten over Iain. She’s now twenty years old, and the ‘mother’ of the group, since Adara was long gone the day she turned 21 – she went on to own a successful bakery in the heart of Dublin. A couple of men showed up at the Masen house, asking for Deorsa Albany Masen. After a long talk with her, they’ve convinced her that she is Demeter, Greek Goddess of Crops, Harvests, Agriculture, Earth, Hunger, Starvation and Fertility. Allie has also agreed to attend college at Pantheon, where she will also learn to hone her abilities.
