Significance of Name: Athens is the Greek city which acquired its name from Goddess Athena. Both Athena and Poseidon requested to be patrons of the city and to give their name to it, so they competed with one another for the honor, offering the city one gift each. The Athenians accepted the peace and prosperity the Goddess offered to them, instead of the naval power.
Her middle name, Sophia, means 'wisdom' in latin. Sophiology is a philosophical concept regarding wisdom, as well as a theological concept regarding the wisdom of God.
Her last name, Bellator, comes from latin as well, meaning 'warrior'.

Physical Appearance: Sophia is a tall, athletic girl. She has always liked sports, so she is very active. She is 1.75 metres and medium weight. Her natural hair color is blonde and her eyes are earth-color brown. When she experiences strong emotions, as sadness, anger or even attaction, her eyes become light blue, just like Athena's. She has never been thin, supermodel-like. She is strong and athletic, but knows exactly what kind of outfits to wear to show her physical qualities.
She likes to try new things with her hair. Naturally, it is a bit wavy, but she has had almost every hair color and style. However, her favourite remains the natural: blonde and wavy. She's got pale skin, as she doesn't like sun or heat.

Place of Origin: New York
History: Sophia was born in New York, into a pretty wealthy background. Her mother is a Romanian teacher, while her father is an American surgeon. She is an only child and she has always gotten everything she wanted. Even so, she remained down-to-earth.
She has had a happy life until now. She has always had recognition for her intelligence. Everyone, especially her parents, were amazed. She liked reading about the Greek Pantheon and her favourite Goddess was Athena. At the age of sixteen, she finds out she is a deity. She didn't believe it at first, but then she realized that this is the answer for her wisdom.
Since she was a kid, she has been fascinated by her father's job. She didn't like her mother's because she is not that fond of children. For many years, she has been thinking of becoming a surgeon. Her favourite specialities are plastic surgery and neurosurgery. At the age of fourteen, she discovered another big quality and another big passion: to write. She had always written short stories, but now she started to like writing articles in different languages.
The school contests are not strangers to her. Each year, she goes to as many contests as possible, experiencing many different subjects: English, Romanian, French, Maths or Chemistry, she wins a prize at everything. She got used to some people calling her a nerd, but she doesn't care, as she is perfectly happy with who she is.
CONNECTION TO THE MYTH ' '
Athena is not only the Goddess of Wisdom, but also of Fair War. Sophia has always been into contact sports, especially martial arts. The other sports she loves are tennis and badminton, sports where strategy and concentration play a very important role.
When she feels strong emotions, her eye color changes into Athena's eye color: light blue. She is also very competitive and doesn't accept anyone to be better than her. If she finds someone who is better than her into anything, she does everything she can to stop them, just like Athena did to Arachne. While being a martial arts practicant, in a competition, she heard her semifinals opponent saying she will beat Sophia without any problems. Right before the match, she told her opponent that she had heard her and that she had taken her words as a challenge. On the surface, her opponent, Elaine, kept breaking the rules, without the umpire even noticing. They were of a very close value. In the last second of the match, Elaine was up three points. Realizing she couldn't do anything to win, Sophia hit Elaine's knee, which was strictly forbidden. Elaine won, but she couldn't play the final anymore because of the injury.
Unlike the deity living inside of her, Sophia likes guys and likes to flirt sometimes, but she doesn't want a long-term relationship.
ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '
Ilona walked nervously on the court. Her shirt was falling messily on her shoulders. Her blond hair was disheveled and her legs were tired. She took another sip of water and breathed heavily. A manly, yet warm voice whispered in her ear: "You're here, into the final, two points away from the victory. Someone has to stop her winning streak. And that's you."
It was true, her opponent hadn't lost a match in almost three months. But Ilona knew she was not unbeatable. No one was unbeatable. She took her place on the court and waited for the opponent's serve. She used to be calm in every situation, but now, this was huge. Her eyes were narrowed and every muscle in her body was tense. Her opponent served. She returned. The shuttle almost stopped into the net. She had to be attentive. They were both hitting like hell. A few moments later, Ilona saw the shuttle flying high. That was her chance for a smash. She jumped high and hit it with all her power. Point for her and she had a match point. She fistpumped when she was still in the air. She fell on her feet, but suddenly felt a killing pain in her right knee. 'Not again,' she thought. She fell on the ground. It wasn't the first time she was twisting her knee. It was the third, but everytine it seemed to be worse than the last time. She remained on the ground in shock and covered her face with her hands. What was she going to do? She couldn't retire. Not then, when she was having a real chance to beat probably the best player of the moment. No, she couldn't. The umpire came to her and helped her up. But how was she going to keep playing? She could barely walk. It didn't matter. She was going to do it. She positioned herself and served. Another few hits, another few moments of pain and she was winning. She was actually winning!!
She shook hands with her opponent who took her in her arms. They were good friends, but on the court nothing mattered. She went to her coach who also took her in his arms with a big smile on his face. She smiled too, but only until he told her he had called someone from the hospital for her injury. She hated that. Doctors, hospitals and everything. However, she remained on the court for the trophy presentation as well and only after that she slowly walked back to her locker, helped by her coach. "They should be here any minute now," he told her, before going out.
"Damn," she muttered and sat down on the couch with her right leg up.
