Physical Appearance: Her body is quite curved; she is skinny and about 5'7" tall. She does not appear to have a strong build, but she does not lack in power. She's not extremely fast, but she has great stamina. She is almost deathly pale, due to the fact that she dislikes the sunlight a great deal. Her posture is rigidly straight.
Her eyes are a deep navy almost black with sparse flecks of gold them. They are often described as beautiful to look at but cold as ice. Her eyes are framed by heavy, black lashes and her eyes are always half-open, half closed giving her a tired look. Whenever she smiles there is always something slightly sinister behind it.
She wears a navy tank top and black skinny jeans all the time. On cold days she wears a leather, army-style jacket with silver buttons and zipper. She's always carrying a silver parasol with her to shield herself from the sun. She doesn't bother taking an umbrella on cold days. She wears a beaten pair of navy converse wherever she goes. She also wears mismatched earrings that jingle whenever she moves (one is a star, the other is a crescent moon).
She has long dark brown hair that reaches down to her mid-back. Sometimes she makes it wavy with a straightening iron. On rainy and hot days she puts it up in a simple updo.

Personality Description: Nerezza mostly quiet but of her own choosing. Her worst critic is herself. During the day she's mostly hurrying between classes, reading somewhere, or grabbing a coffee. She's quite stubborn and will hold her own opinion with a death grip.
She often reads romance novels and classics. She's not very talkative, but is a good listener. She’s very sympathetic. She talks quietly and slowly most of the time. Though she grew up in Italy, she doesn’t speak English with an accent. She’s tired often but cannot sleep due to a mild case of insomnia.
Nerezza can have a short temper, especially when she’s been up for several nights at a time. She claims that coffee has a calming effect on her, seeing as she drinks one every morning. She snaps often because she is easily annoyed. She can be very intimidating and her glare is said to 'pierce the very soul.'

Place of Origin: Venice, Italy
History:
Nerezza grew up with only a housekeeper to take care of her in Venice Italy. Her father was always away on business. She was quiet and almost always alone. Her housekeeper always fretted over her.
Nerezza had a quiet life at her small house on the back canals of Venice. Every once in awhile her father would come home. Nerezza learned to fare without him for the most part and ignored him whenever he came home. Her housekeeper was always kind and sympathetic, and became the closest thing to a mother to Nerezza. Despite that however, Nerezza became quite capable on her own.
When she was 10, one of her friends was bullied. She did not know until she saw her friend being beat up one day. She took out both of the two bullies, with a brute strength she did not know she had.
From then on she was feared by all her classmates, even her friend who she had saved. They never said anything to her because they were too scared. Even worst bully in the class wouldn't come within a 2 feet of her.
She learned she had sleeping problems when she was in 5th grade. The night before a math test she couldn’t sleep and even after passing the exam she still couldn’t get some rest. Her housekeeper took her to a doctor to have her tested and it was revealed that she had mild insomnia. From then on, Nerezza never bothered trying to sleep, and instead stayed up reading books all night.
When she turned 12 her father allowed her to go to an annual carnival with some classmates from her elementary school. He had come home for a month. One boy thought it would be fun to go see a magic show. When the magician asked for an assistant, her friends shoved her forward. When the crowd started booing at the magician’s failed attempts, she started getting upset. One by one, the carnival street lamps flickered off and remaining lights shut out. Despite it being pitch black, she could see long shadowy figures dragging off audience members and could hear loud, terrified screams.
Not knowing what was happening Nerezza ran straight home, where her father was waiting for her. In sobs, she told him all that had happened. He simply pat her head, packed her bags, and sent her off on a plane. When she stepped off the plane at her destination they were waiting for her.

CONNECTION TO THE MYTH ' '
-Nyx father is Chaos but it is unknown who her mother is. Similarly, Nerezza knows her father, who is constantly busy, but she doesn’t know who her mother is.
-Nyx’s temper varied a lot, sometimes helping people, sometimes hurting them. Nerezza has a short temper; sometimes her powers are beneficial and sometimes they aren’t.
ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '
There was a small jolt, as the plane touched the ground. Where was this place? Nerezza quietly took in the surroundings. It would be cold out there, that was for sure. The plane came to a stop and she unfastened her seatbelt. She pulled on her black leather jacket. She pulled up the zipper all the the way to her chin and stuffed her hands into the pockets.
She stood up, with a quiet jingle of earrings and went to get her carry-on bag from the overhead storage. She pulled the small backpack down with a sigh. Now to figure out where the heck she was. She headed out the terminal and to the open airport. To somewhere unthinkable....
