STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance: Despite her modesty, Cel is, in reality, exquisite. She stands at 5’ 6”, has an athletic and lean build, tanned complexion and relaxed posture. Cel could pass off as a model with her height and poise if she did not view the fashion industry as useless frivolity. On the other hand, her stream line build makes her an exceptional athlete.
Her round face is framed by wavy, ebony hair which hangs wildly slightly below her shoulders. Cel prefers to tie it all up in a pony tail, except when she's running. She has dark hazel eyes that could pass of as black. If one were to stare into her eyes long enough, one would notice that they bear some sort of feral light. She has a sharp Latin nose and full, naturally pink lips.
Cel sticks to unisex clothing.Her usual get-up includes a simple tee, jeans and ankle socks with Chucks or Vans. Adding a jacket to the outfit is already a big thing for her, image wise. She walks with a rather masculine stance due to her athletic training. Cel gives an overall air of simplicity; she shuns accessories and make-up, things that coat the face with artificiality.

Personality Description: Cel is an introvert, thus appearing reserved and at times, antisocial. However, she is actually quite warm towards her friends and somewhat talkative. She will not shun personal ties yet will be hesitant in talking to a stranger or initiating a friendship.
Cel is most comfortable among her animal friends. She views these creatures as innately good and incapable of evil. She acknowledges that animals may at times grow hostile but insists that it is their instinct of survival kicking in. Her affinity to animals is so great that she would be willing to shut down a poaching multinational corporation if need be. She also welcomes the company of females but is immediately disgusted by the promiscuous and let's-party-our-life-away types. She's open to friendships with the opposite sex but has extremely higher standards for them. Also, she leaves these relationships to the platonic kind and if a male friend attempts to take their friendship to another level, Cel will immediately cut ties with him.
Being an outdoors kind of person may be a contradiction to her choleric temperament, but she wins the respect and awe of spectators (especially men) with her grace and poise in all sorts of physical competitions.
Cel can be carried away by passion regarding violations against nature and women. As such, she values accuracy not only in sports but also in carrying out justice. If thoroughly convinced, Cel will be persevering in fulfilling favors asked from her. She holds her values close to her heart and would go to the extreme rather than compromise her views on morality. She is, however, outwardly a rebel. Perhaps it's the extreme sports or the punk music or the teenage hormones, but Cel values the freedom of expression perhaps too much (in other people's opinion). This being so, Cel doesn't believe too much in "stuffy" rules usually found in formal institutions. On the other hand, she takes into account the unspoken law which governs over the general well being of the common good.
Although Cel is mature for her age, she definitely knows how to have fun. She spends most of her time delving in sports, shooting and running being her fortes. being a daredevil, she doesn't mind trying out new things. As a result, she'd be the perfect companion in bungee jumps and sky diving.
Cel is a simple girl and it shows. Her lifestlye choices are considerably conservative compared to her peers. She's the no-frills kind of girl who would prefer a day of hiking over the spa. As it is, she's frank and expects to be treated with the same kind of honesty.

Power/Ability:
Menekinesis - Artemis was the moon deity and it is only fitting she draws power from the moon. Besides moonlight, Cel can also manipulate gravity and magnetism to some extent. Since this is her first power, Cel is quite comfortable with it and can absorb and expel large amounts of lunar energy at ease, in any shape she wishes. Levitation is also second nature to her. Of course at day, she can't recharge her lost energy.
Animal Communication - Artemis was the patroness of all wild animals. Cel can mentally communicate and order animals. However, just like people, some animals will be more than willing to help her while some will be too stubborn to budge. Also, it is difficult for her to switch communication styles immediately. For example, intimidating a lion into submission then quickly adopting a hive mind to order ants around will only confuse her.
Animal Imitation - See above rationale. Cel can adopt specific characteristics of any extant animal through concentration, without changing her anatomy. She is limited to mimicking one attribute of one animal at a time. Moreover, she must have communicated with the animal before she can attempt to imitate it.
Plant Manipulation - Artemis was the goddess of forests, hills and wildlife in general. This is a latent ability and Cel is unaware she is capable of manipulating plant life.

Origin: Madrid, Spain
History: Cynthia Selene de Luna was born in Madrid, Spain but has been familiar to various places across the globe. She was raised by her mother who was a world renowned zoologist, much like the late Steve Irwin. This set-up mainly sets the stage for Cel’s personality. First, she is an introvert due to the restlessness and burning inquisitiveness of her mother. These traits not only caused the success of Cel’s mother but also for her wandering from country to country. As a result, Cel has attended 7 different international schools for 7 years of elementary and adopted both fluency in English and an introverted nature. Second, Cel is a misandrist, a hater of men. In all those 7 years of torturous paperwork and lectures, the young Cel always noticed how all, if not most, her classmates had a complete set of parents: a father and a mother. There would be times when she would lie awake at night, cursing the man who left her mother to fend for herself. And at times, very rarely, she would cry herself to sleep wondering how fate was cruel enough to rob this male figure from her life. Nevertheless, this hardened her from all men and even pushed her to vow never to marry and risk abandonment. Third, her mother’s occupation sparked an intense interest in Cel which would later become her life passion. Realizing that her daughter had a strange affinity to animals, Cel’s mother exposed her to all kinds of animals. Cel loved them all and could even, she believed, understand them and vice versa. She would go to the outdoors, be it forest, jungle or tundra to spot wild creatures in their own habitat and would feel liberated, free from suffering, man’s judgment, greed and foolishness - free from it all. Sports was another outlet she loved. Trying all sorts and excelling at all of them, Cel fell in love with shooting. She displayed a natural knack for hitting targets - dead center - even from great distances.
Cel first discovered her powers when she was 13. While she was petting a newly befriended stag under the faint glow of the Canadian moon, a dark figure came out from the shadows. It was a poacher and he was aiming his rifle right at the unsuspecting creature. Without warning, the man pulled the trigger. Despite her heart beating faster than a machine gun, Cel noticed that the bullet was moving in slow motion. Whispering a prayer, she willed the bullet to stop. Suddenly, an eerie luminosity encased the projectile and it dropped to the ground with a resounding “thud” as if it were a rock. Frightened, the man started to scramble away from his prey. Cel felt her body act as if it had a mind of its own – instincts, she would later recall. Her arms shot out, pointing at the hunter. The man was covered in the same unearthly glow and started levitating. His screams pierced the night air and startled Cel back to her senses. The glow almost immediately disappeared and the man hurtled down to the ground and lay there, unconscious. Cel fled the scene in panic.
The next day, authorities arrested the poacher for illegally hunting in protected forest areas, using the stray bullet as evidence. Despite his indignant cries about his lack of memory about the past night, the hunter was pushed into the rangers’ van. Cel looked at the scene from a small crowd, knowing that she was different and that she had to know why.
Currently, Cel resides in Brazil while her mother is researching about the Amazon monkeys. She is thankful that it is summer in the said country and has 2 months all to herself. Cel has been alerted about increasing levels of lumber activity and is determined to make a difference.

ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '
Cel twirled her finger around her dark hair, obviously bored by the senseless ramblings of her wizened History professor about the Hundred Year War. In Cel’s opinion, men were the cause of war and therefore, were stupid. But she wouldn’t be one to disagree if someone pointed out that men were stupid and caused war as an effect.
She raised her hand and tousled her hair. All her male classmates stared at her direction.
“Men,” she whispered sourly under her breath, rolling her eyes before instantly replacing her equally sour expression with a fake smile.
“Professor, I need to use the bathroom,” she sweetly said, with no trace of an accent.
“Very vell” replied her instructor who, contrastingly, bore a heavy French accent.
Cel stepped out of the classroom and hurried outside the main entrance. Fortunately, nobody saw her. She hated chattering hall monitors and was determined to threaten one should the occasion rise. In that sense, the current hall monitor was extremely lucky that day.
She walked out and into the magic of autumn, slightly out of school grounds. She gazed upwards into the cloudy sky as a batch of swirling auburn and burgundy leaves gently fell on her. She giggled and reveled in the cool breeze, closing her eyes and inhaling deeply. When she finally opened her eyes, she realized that dozens of butterflies had perched delicately on her sweater. They ranged from marble white to lemon yellow to rose pink. She smiled, this time genuinely, at her insect audience and felt her mind coalesce into theirs, gaining a certain serenity, a fragile bliss she knew no man could ever gain.
