Full Name: Cyrus Paul Clarke
Significance of Name: Cyrus is just a name I found that sounds similar to Coeus, Paul sounds like ‘Pole’ and Coeus was known as Polus in Roman Mythology because he was the embodiment of the North Pole and Clarke means “man of learning” and Coeus was know as the god of intelligence and learning.

STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance: Cyrus has the whole surly, bad-boy look down to a T. He very rarely smiles – smirking is more his style, and by doing so tends to look both arrogantly smug and annoyingly handsome at the same time. When Cyrus does smile, on that rare occasion, it will be one of three different kinds. The most notorious of these smiles, is the malicious grin, and will usually make its appearance when something has gone his way – revenge, one-upmanship, or a cunning plan pulled off to perfection. The second smile is known as his “turning on the charm” smile. He uses this one to get out of trouble, get someone to do what he wants or to attract the ladies. This is the only smile out of them all that shows his perfectly straight, white teeth and to say that it’s dazzled many an unsuspecting girl, is an understatement. The last smile however, is extremely rare, and one that not many can say they’ve seen (many people don’t think he’s even capable of it) - the genuine smile. If you’re one to witness a genuine smile from Cyrus, then you must be extremely lucky or a trusted friend.
Cyrus isn’t what anyone would call, typically good looking. He has a long face, with a high, broad forehead, a slightly crooked nose and very big, furrowed eyebrows. However, he has a devilish twinkle in his mysterious brown eyes, a strong jaw and a very masculine chin, which has a small cleft in it. He dislikes the close-shaven look and instead opts for designer stubble, as it makes him look a little more rugged. Cyrus has always been rather hairy, so it’s not difficult to keep his facial hair – even if he shaves in the morning, it always seems to grow back by nightfall. He also has a hairy chest, and very hairy toes, which he almost always keeps covered up by shoes and socks; he hardly ever goes barefoot, unless he’s in is dormitory. He has olive coloured skin, and medium brown hair, which is fairly short and stuck up on his head in a slightly spiky, slighty, messy look. He is quite tall, standing at around 6’1 and has an athletic physique, even though he doesn’t play any sports. He does jog frequently however, and before arriving at Pantheon, he was an avid rugby player. Cyrus almost always wears jeans made of a very dark denim. He does rarely, wear smart trousers but only when the occasion demands it. He practically lives in his trainers, which are starting to look so old and worn that he really should buy a new pair.

Personality Description:
It is no surprise that Cyrus grew up to be the way he is. With no prominent father figure in his life and with his mother hardly ever around, Cyrus has never had any respect for authority figures unless they give him a damn good reason. He has always been incredibly competitive and he hates feeling inferior to anyone, so he always strives to be the best. He absolutely detests losing and can be a very bad loser – he always takes it personally. One thing that Cyrus hates even more than losing, is being wrong. Call him a typical male, but he can’t handle being wrong and will blame anyone but himself for his mistakes. As the reincarnation of Coeus the God of intelligence and learning, Cyrus is extremely clever. He loves nothing better than learning, because in his opinion, knowledge is power. He is incredibly ambitious; someone who knows what he wants and will go to any lengths to get it. Cyrus doesn’t care who he treads on to achieve his goals – all he sees are his objectives and everything and everyone else is blinded from view. He is extremely power-hungry and he wants nothing more than to become all powerful. A truly selfish person by nature, he rarely does anything without thinking “how will this benefit me?”. He recognizes that if he is to get anywhere in life, he has to put himself first and foremost and that other people just get in the way of reaching his goals. “Nice guys finish last” is his motto, and Cyrus isn’t one to use his powers to help others; he uses his powers mainly to help himself and sometimes for vengeance. He’s always used his powers for his own selfish gain, and isn’t about to stop now.
One could describe Cyrus as cunning and devious, who is good at making people believe that he is something that he is not, and is always hiding his true personality from the world. He can be sneaky and deceitful, he is not someone who you can easily turn your back on and he is an exceptional liar. You can never know when Cyrus is lying or when he is telling the truth because lying has become almost second nature to him now and he lies without thinking about it. When Cyrus makes his mind up about something, there’s nothing anyone will be able to say or do to change it. If he sets his mind to something, no-one will be able to sway him away from it. He doesn’t make snap decisions but once he has made a decision, he will be unswerving to the point of obstinacy. He is incredibly stubborn and you’ll be hard pushed to find someone who can get round him and persuade him to change his mind. He likes to have the last word in any argument or discussion and has a tendency to think that his final say on a matter is the end of discussion. He can be very controlling, demanding that people do as he says and it aggravates him when people go against his wishes and orders. He despises sudden change, and likes being in control of everything and everyone in his life, though hates being controlled himself. If someone ever tries to control him, whether by manipulating him or with their powers, well…Cyrus will go out of his way to make their life a living hell. Although a natural leader, he can be a follower if times call for it, but only when he can see the benefit to him.
Cyrus can be very manipulative, often influencing or controlling people to his own advantage, without their knowledge or at least in a way that they don’t realise that he’s manipulating them. He is often vengeful, and if someone tries controlling him or makes a fool out of him, he will plan his revenge. Pride is one of his worst faults, so he dislikes being outsmarted or humiliated. He can be very persistent, especially in his revenge plots and he will plot and scheme for weeks (well after the person who humiliated him has forgotten all about it) to come up with the perfect vengeance strategy – patience has always been a virtue of his. He very rarely acts on impulse, mainly because he is patient and very calculating. He always thinks of the consequences, not for other people, but for himself. He is always careful not to get caught so he always thinks things through carefully, weighing all of his options before deciding on one that would best suit him. Cyrus isn’t all bad though, he does have a few good traits; for instance, he is very confident. Some may feel that his confidence comes off as arrogance, and though he may sometimes be a little too cocky, he does have confidence in himself. He is also witty and slightly sarcastic, with a certain air of charisma about him. He can be very charming and charismatic when he wants to be, usually to get himself out of trouble, when he’s trying to get someone to do something for him, or when he’s around a girl he likes – especially when he’s around a girl he likes.
He can be very loyal, but only to his closest friends, and only when he knows that he can truly trust those friends. He can also be very generous to his friends and those he loves, and does – no matter what anyone says – have a heart. He values trust and commitment in any relationship, and tends to form permanent relationships with people. Cyrus is incredibly observant and intuitive and can easily pick up things about other people from observing them, so he usually makes friends for life as he can tell what type of people they are. His intuition is much stronger about people who are the reincarnation of Gods and Goddesses that he knew in his previous life, and he feels stronger connections with other Titans and an immense dislike for Skylar, the reincarnation of Zeus, who imprisoned him in Tartarus. It’s odd, almost as if part of him remembers his feelings about other people, from his previous life. When he’s in love, Cyrus is almost like a different person. He can be romantic and kind, incredibly passionate and loving, but he can also be quite obsessive. He has an obsessive personality anyway, whether it’s about being right, winning or plotting his revenge and it certainly takes hold of him when he’s in love. He doesn’t fall in love easily, but when he does he will do everything in his power to be with her. His feelings tend to be constant and unwavering, and he can be very persistent in pursuing her, and very protective of the girl he loves. He will do anything for her, but he can also be incredibly jealous, as part of his controlling nature and is always wary of being cheated on.

Power/Ability: Magnetism Manipulation – Cyrus can control and manipulate electromagnetic fields and thus is able to manipulate most forms of metal, granting him powers that appear telekinetic. In Roman Mythology, Coeus was known as Polus the Titan pillar of the North Pole. It could be interpreted as the earth’s North Magnetic Pole rather than its Geographical North Pole, so his power would relate to this.
WELCOME TO MY LIFE ' '
Origin: Perth, Australia
History: Amanda Clarke always wanted a family so when she became pregnant, she was ecstatic. She thought that by having this baby, it would somehow change her long-term boyfriend’s mind about settling down and having children. However when Aidan found out that his girlfriend was pregnant, he wasn’t so happy, and told her that he didn’t want anything to do with the baby. Amanda was devastated, but told him that she was going to keep the baby. That was when Aidan skipped town. It was then that Amanda had to make the hardest decision of her life: keep the baby or give it up for adoption. She chose the former. Of course, Amanda could have given the baby a better life by giving it up for adoption, but she was being selfish – she had always wanted children and who knew when she’d be able to have another one? For the first seven years of Cyrus’ life, he and his mother lived on whatever Amanda could scrape together. They weren’t very poor, but there were times when they found it hard to live off Amanda’s salary, which as a supermarket cashier, wasn’t a great deal.
Amanda had always been creative and when Cyrus was six, she began making jewellery and selling it, for the extra cash. It wasn’t until Cyrus turned eight that her jewellery making business started to take off, when a mother from Cyrus’ school asked her where she got her necklace from. She made the lady a pair of sparkly glass earrings and a matching necklace, and soon she was getting orders from almost all of the woman’s friends. She tried to spend time with Cyrus as much as she could, but she also had a desperate need to provide for him and to give him a better life than the one they were living, so most of her time was spent either at work, or on her jewellery making business. Maybe if Amanda had just spent more time with him, Cyrus wouldn’t have turned out the way he did, or maybe he was destined to become what he is today, because of who he was in his previous life. However, Amanda was more worried about providing for them that she left her son to his own devices. He grew up without rules, without discipline; he could do whatever he liked and get away with it because his mother was hardly ever around to witness it. At first as a child he played up, trying to gain his mothers attention, but soon he realised that he could do whatever he wanted as long as his mother didn’t find out.
Cyrus’ power didn’t actually surface until he was thirteen – or really closer to fourteen. It might even have gone without showing itself for another year or so if it hadn’t been for the trigger. Its trigger was his father showing up. Cyrus had never had any contact with his father throughout his entire life and didn’t expect him ever to show his face again, after ditching his mother before he was even born. However, it seemed as though Aidan had a crisis of conscience and decided that after almost fourteen years, he wanted to be in his life. He showed up at the house one morning when Amanda was in work and at first, Cyrus just thought he was a salesman and told him in no uncertain terms, where he could stick whatever it was he was selling. It was then that Aidan dropped the bomb. “I’m not selling anything – I’m your father.” Cyrus was, for the first time in his life, speechless. Not for long though, when his father started explaining why he was there – for Cyrus; to spend some time with his son. It was then that Cyrus began to get angry. Through all the “bloody hell’s”, “Why now’s?” and “where were you fourteen years ago?” Cyrus began to lose his temper. When his temper reached boiling point, Cyrus’ ability showed itself for the first time: by sending Aidan flying 12 foot in the air from his metal belt buckle. Cyrus was a little startled at this, but also pleased. He hoped his “father” had been hurt when he landed in that tree and shouted at him that he never wanted to see him again. A week later and Cyrus was contacted by people from Pantheon Academy: a school in America. They told him that he was the reincarnation of a Titan, Coeus and that they could teach him how to control his powers. This was all the incentive he needed and started his freshman year of Pantheon almost at once.
