Physical powers fundamentally affect an individual's body granting them physical abilities beyond those of ordinary humans. Some are enhancements of natural abilities such as sight and hearing, others are abilities no other human possesses.
Animal ImitationSome characters are able to imitate abilities possessed by animals. This is not require shape-shifting at all which requires a physical change into the creature. Rather, an animal imitator may gain the strength of animal, its enhanced smell, agility, speed or ability to crawl on walls. As such, a person can breath under water without sprouting gills or can echo locate without having to develop whatever organ that bats or dolphins use.
Blood ManipulationThe ability to mentally control blood. One with this ability can snatch blood out of a person's body. One with this ability could even manipulate blood while it is still inside a person, allowing them nearly full control over motor functions or control over a person's body temperature by raising or slowing the rate at which a subject's blood moves. The minor form of this ability could even be used to taint the blood of others, causing septicemia, or cause one's own blood to be tainted, so that when it is transfused into another body, it will infect the bodies of others.
Body ManipulationAbility to manipulate bodily functions. Such as organs and other bodily systems. They can do so for others and for themselves. This can achieve a minor form of regeneration, and they can push themselves by negating the production of fatigue toxins and increasing the production of adrenalin. They can also rupture blood vessels and arteries in specific areas of the body such as the eyes to render a person blind or the hamstring to cripple a person.
Bone ManipulationNot an ability guaranteed to make one popular, being able to manipulate one's bones has its uses. Characters are able to generate new bone mass, project bones from their skin or rearrange their existing skeletal structure.
HaemostimulusEvery time blood is shed or spilled within the user’s facility, their powers are, for a limited time, amplified. The effect is locally cumulative. The more that blood is spilled, the more powerful one becomes. The sudden rush of power is intoxicating however and combined with inherent blood lust, the user struggles to retain control.
MultiplicationThis allows a person to create a perfect copy of himself, that can act independently. Sometimes these copies share a hive mind. Any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target, then have the clone disperse itself without returning to pass the information back to the user.
FlightThis ability allows a person to defy the effects of gravity without having to sprout out wings. Most flyers have a very dexterous control over their ability, allowing them to make hairpin turns whilst in the air. They can also achieve speeds that can make them faster than jet engines.
Aquatic CapabilitiesThis ability allows a person to survive in water indefinitely. These people can breath underwater and remain there forever, they also have the ability to swim at extremely fast speeds out swimming jet planes flying over head. They can also dive into depths that would kill most living things due to pressure and also survive intense cold.
InvisibilityInvisibility is the often envied and highly valuable power to disappear from sight or cause an object to do so. The methods for accomplishing this vary. There are also levels of invisibility, while some can turn invisible but can be seen through infrared cameras...while others can achieve a perfect degree of invisibility that they truly cannot be found by any visual means necessary.
InvulnerabilityInvulnerability is the inability to be harmed. People with this ability have extremely dense body structures and can survive most forms of attack. A Nuclear explosion can leave them unharmed...the only way to truly harm someone with this ability is to drown them or suffocate them...or something that doesn't translate to causing them physical harm.
Matter IngestionA very unusual ability, in which a person can eat virtually any form of matter. This goes on to the person having a virtually indestructible digestive track that can also break down anything and everything. These people tend to be able to absorb nutrients from the strangest things such as rocks or metal. They also have sub abilities, such as their jaw muscles being of greater strength than predatory animals, and also their teeth are virtually indestructible or sometimes even coated with some form of acid or magical nature that allows the bearer of the ability to bite through anything.
PetrificationThe ability to psionically transmute the cells of biotic subjects into a material similar to stone. One with this ability can petrify as many creatures as are in their vision range , assuming they are looked in the eye. There is also another aspect of this ability which does not turn people into stone, but instead induces paralysis on the spot...the length of time this paralysis remains depends upon the intensity of the user's ability.
Pheromone ManipulationAbility to generate and control pheromones which may have various effects. This power could induce a variety of emotional and physical responses, including fear, anger, lust, calmness, happiness and sleep. At a full extent of this power people could apply them to crowd control or putting entire armies to sleep. The pheromones are subtle and cannot be sensed without having powers that allow the sensing of things.
Poison GenerationAbility to assault others with one or more varieties of toxins, with widely disparate effects. There are many ways for this to be used, such as their body producing it from their canines or special glands under their skin. Or maybe a mist or a spray, the possibilities are dependent on the user. The poison can also have many effects such as corroding even metal or targeting the neural pathways and many others.
RegenerationThe ability to recover from any physical injury. People who have this ability, almost always have it kick in right away, or some have the choice of stopping it when they wish. The healing factor can heal severe wounds within a matter of days or hours or fully regenerate nearly any damaged or destroyed bodily tissues within seconds. This power also dramatically slows his aging process, allowing him to live beyond the normal lifespan of a human. In addition to accelerated healing of physical traumas, the healing factor makes people extraordinarily resistant to diseases, drugs, and toxins. However, they still suffer the immediate effects of such substances; and can be incapacitated on several occasions with drugs and poisons, assuming enough dosage is used.
Prehensile HairPeople with this ability have many uses of their hair including elongating it to almost insurmountable lengths, and using their hair to lift and move heavy weights ; a portion of hair must be used to anchor the rest at these greater weights, so that more than her scalp/skull is used as a brace. They can control the movement of her hair as if it were countless thin appendages growing from her head, so that a single strand can be used to pick a lock. Also people with this ability have a sort of "Sense of touch" for their hair, meaning they are aware if someone is touching it but don't necessarily feel pain when it's cut.
Self-DetonationThe power in which one may let loose an explosion from their body and recover gradually afterward. The user builds up immense energy and pressure within his body, and then literally causes himself or herself to explode. One with this ability usually can vary the power of the explosion after some practice; from simply blowing open a door to nuclear and atomic explosions. The time it takes to recuperate will vary depending on other abilities, size of explosion, and amount of experience of the user.
Sonic-screamAbility to generate vocal sounds of a higher amplitude than a normal human. This scream can either cause glass to shatter, ear drums to bleed or even scream with enough force that anything within range will get violently hurled back.
Superhuman AgilityThe ability to quickly go from one motion to another; quick and well-coordinated. Also mentally acute. Possessors of this ability also do not get affected by motion induced nausea and things of the like. They are extremely dexterous and have powerful bodies than can propel them across the air in feats no average human, even Olympic level athletes, can achieve.
Superhuman BeautyBasically this superpower doesn't require any practices, but this can be also used as hypnosis. The person with this ability, is just so pleasing to others that they may be able to coerce people into doing it for them. Of course, people react to beauty in many ways, and the person who possesses this ability doesn't necessarily have complete control over those affected by him/her.
Superhuman BreathAbility to inhale/exhale with superhuman force. This can range from exhaling on par with a giant fan's wind current or even gale force winds. On the other hand they are also capable of inhalation on par with the power of a gravitational vortex.
Superhuman Reflexesimplies the presence of a reaction impulse and reaction time beyond that of a normal human. One with this ability can dodge bullets, catch flies mid-air and easily react to potentially harmful stimuli in a way that seems almost prescient. If a foe tried to punch the user, for example, he could dodge the hit and retaliate before the foe even lands a blow. In the same way, if the user was about to place his hand on the eye of a hot stove unwittingly, his reflexes would make him impulsively retract his hand before he felt or noticed the heat.
Superhuman SensesAbility to see, smell, taste, feel and/or hear more than a normal human. It can either be limited to one of the senses or a person can have all five. Each sense adheres to it's own specialties, like for sight, allows people to see at night or to see far away, hearing allows people to tell when a person is lying by the beating of their heart and touch which allows people to feel vibrations in the air. The human sense of spatial awareness can also be a product of this ability.
Superhuman StrengthSuper strength allows the person to perform incredible feats of strength, without necessarily having the appropriate muscular structure for it. Although not the same as invulnerability, possessors of this ability are more durable compared to normal people, such as when punching through walls they do not break the skin off their knuckles. Strength comes in varying intensities, some can lift heavier things than others.
Superhuman SpeedBeing able to move faster than average is the realm of track and field runners. Speedsters also have the passive ability to negate friction the effects of friction as they run. This is also varying with the degree of dexterity speedsters have, such as some being able to vibrate themselves at speeds so high they can pass through walls, they can also gather enough momentum to traverse vertical plains...or extend their speed to people they are in physical contact with.
LentationThe ability to perceive time slower than it actually is, and to adjust the body's speed and reflexes to match this perception of time. One with this ability could see bullets approaching them, or perceive those with superhuman speed approaching them, and react to them as though they were moving at the same speed. This ability could be used to evade nearly any attack, by seeing it like it was moving slower, when in fact you were moving faster.
VampirismVampirism is the sustenance of a user on a subject's energy. One with this ability does not necessarily kill the subject; they may simply feed off of (or become invigorated by) one specific type of energy from a foe. The user of this ability may absorb this source of energy through the skin (ex: nerve impulses), via telepathic/empathic contact (ex: negative/positive energies), or perhaps they will just become extremely stronger in the presence of this energy source and drain it involuntarily (ex: fear/negative thoughts, memories, the energy which fuels superhuman abilities). Should be specified which type of vampirism is used: adrenal (absorbing the stamina of a foe and using it for one’s own sustenance), empathic/phobic (absorbing the fear or sadness or even the happy feelings of a foe and using it for one’s own sustenance), psychic (absorbing the thought patterns of another and using it for sustenance), or sanguinary (ability to absorb blood of living beings into the body thus killing them), converting the nutrients from their blood into physical power and sustenance). If one “bites” another person without this ability, the other person does NOT become a vampiric entity. Think of this as regeneration by feeding off of another, instead of one’s own body regenerating.
