Power/Ability: Sorcery – The power of sorcery for Benvolio is channelled through a silver dragon ring that he is constantly wearing. It is a safe-guard on his magical abilities and stops them from draining his life-force. Each time he wants to use a magical-ability, he uses part of his life-force. His life-force can only be recuperated by heavy sleeps, which is why Ben is not seen around the school as much as some of the other teachers. When he is not teaching or marking he is sleeping.

He can pretty much do any ability as long as he is wearing his ring, however he is always conscious of his life force usage, he can't use more than one at a time and the powers aren't as powerful as if he had just that one ability. So for example with telepathy, he would only be able to peer into the minds of a class of students where as a trained telepath could peer into all the minds in the school at once.
