STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance: Obviously being the reincarnation of an ancient goddess would mean that Vesta is naturally beautiful and graceful. And that is exactly what Vesta appears to be; poised, graceful and elegant. Her lengthy blonde hair falls just below her shoulders and naturally falls into gentle ringlets and curls. Although that isn't to say that she doesn't her fair share of bad hair days. Her piercing blue eyes and pale complexion go hand in hand with the hue of her hair and it gives her that innocent little girl visage, which is rather accurate if you disregard her tumultuous past. But if there is one thing Vesta is lacking, it would be height; standing just short of the average for girls her age, a fact which annoys Vesta to no end.
But while she may be beautiful from what other people see, she isn't perfect. After all, in this day and age, who is? Thanks to a sketchy childhood, Vesta has several scars on her body. These range from a permanent cut and a line down her back. Vesta always covers up these blemishes and like to pretend they do not exist. Moving on from the visual aspect, Vesta also takes great care in how she presents herself to the outside world. Being very graceful and lithe with her movements is always a plus and she has near perfect posture, being slouchy is inexcusable.
LET'S GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER ' '
Personality Description: At least 2 - 3 nice detailed paragraphs
Likes:
- Spring; the newly budding leaves, the sunny skies, the rebirth of the world. What is there not to like about it?
- Family; you know what they say: blood is thicker that water. Vesta adores her family, both past and present and would do anything for them.
- Cooking; it's just something she enjoys doing, you know? And baking, and she bakes a mean blueberry pie.
- Poetry; maybe it's the way it is presented or how the rhythm and rhyming scheme flow, but it's just something that Vesta enjoys both composing and reading.
- The Outdoors; remember those reasons she likes spring? Basically all the same reasons as that.
- Animals; there all just so interesting and cute. And anything that lives is a friend of Vesta's. She has so much love to give.
- Gardening; it's another hobby of hers, one that she thoroughly enjoys. Vesta uses this as a way of bringing life into the world, even if she cannot do it biologically herself.
Dislikes:
- Tragedy; sounds kind of generic, but it's a valid point. Vesta is too much of a happy person to entertain the idea of tragedy.
- Lies; what is the point? Everything gets discovered out in the end.
- Meat; yes, she is a vegetarian. Not a vegan or anything like that, just a veggie. The idea of slaughtering an innocent animal is crazy and appalling to her.
- Flying; kind of stupid, but still a real fear. Vesta has always had a fear of flying, or maybe just a fear of not being grounded to the earth; being aimless.
- Hypocrisy; if you say that you do not like something or something, please stick with your original statement rather than going back on what you said. Seriously.
- Closed-mindedness; regardless of what a person believes. Religious, non-religious, conservative, democratic. People should at least learn to tolerate differences in opinion, even if they don't share them.

Fears: Vesta's number one fear would have to be water. As a child she never learned how to swim and those fast ocean currents and tsunamis have essentially scared her out of the idea of water as a positive.
Goal: To raise a family of her own some day. Some how she will figure out a way; whether it's adoption or anything. She has so much love to give.
Power/Ability: Fire Manipulation, or pyrokinesis, is the ability to mentally create and manipulate fire. One with this ability can excite the atoms within an object, possibly enough energy to ignite the object. A pyrokinetic is a person capable of generating flames from thin air, not requiring the consumption of oxygen or combustible objects to maintain the flames. They have been seen being able to increase the temperature in their proximity, create flames, and endure extreme heat and flame without being harmed.
WELCOME TO MY LIFE ' '
Origin: Originally: Adelphi, Texas. Then: Cyprus, Texas.
History: The life and times of Vesta Helena Rhodes was not always as pleasant and cheerful as she pretends it is. This young lady was born the eldest daughter of three to her birth parents. Her parents were not the conventional sort; having basically no rules in the household, not being responsible parents in general and also by being drug addicts. But regardless of this fact, Vesta still tried and tried to live a normal life, of sorts. She was always the earliest to rise in the morning, even as a child, and prepared breakfast for her parents and her two younger siblings; essentially taking on the role of a mother. If ever her parents came home enraged, which was often, Vesta always took the brunt of the ferocity to protect her sisters. This kind of behavior from her parents continued for many years, and eventually it was the cause of their deaths. One day, when Vesta was twelve years old, there was a tragic house fire which claimed the life of her parents, leaving Vesta and her sisters alone. But it was a strange accident, as those investigating the source of the fire couldn't find a reason for the flames and even more perplexing was the fact that Vesta and the girls survived without harm, while still being in the house.
With no legal guardians to speak of, Vesta and her sisters were forced into foster care. But unluckily for them, they were separated, as happens to so many children who enter the foster care system. Luckily for Vesta, she was placed into the care of another family who were much more suited for raising a proper family. The Rhodes' were a happy couple with three sons, all of whom were younger than Vesta. At her new home, Vesta was much happier in herself. She began to have a proper education, she dabbled in sports and arts and found singing to her liking, as well as literature. Things seemed to be looking on the upside again for Vesta. And then something else rather odd occurred. Over the space of a few weeks, exactly one year after the house fire, she began to experience a lot of abdominal pain. At first she thought it was a small bug or something, but as the pains grew she began to worry. After a trip to the doctors the cause of the pain was unearthed. Vesta was suffering from POF, premature ovarian failure. Essentially, she was having her menopause at the age of thirteen. Under one percent of the population were effected by this horrid affliction and the doctors had no explanation for it, calling it idiopathic.
But Vesta was not about to let this tragic event ruin the rest of her life. Sure she always wanted to be a mother, but she'd have to learn to accept this twisted turn eventually. After all, she was only thirteen at the time. It truly was a tragic event. After this event everything seemed to return to normal once more. Life went on and Vesta lived her life, whether it was in school or babysitting her adoptive brother or visiting her biological sisters. Another year flew by and on the second anniversary of that tragic house fire, another fire occurred. But this one was different. Luckily, no one perished in the flames, but that was the odd part. Vesta should have perished in that fire, but didn't All she could feel was a slight stabbing sensation on her skin. It was the oddest thing that had ever occurred to her, and to make matters worse her parents had seen. The next few days were rather hazy. Vesta's parents were all jumpy and scared and wondered what had happened as Vesta tried to make sense of her odd escapade. And that was when the Pantheon adviser arrived. He explained to Vesta and her parents that she was the reincarnation of the ancient Greek Goddess, Hestia. Obviously this did not go down well, but after much deliberation and an active demonstration of the gifts he himself possessed, her parents and herself believed. Later that month, Vesta was shipped off to Olympia High up in Washington to hone her skills and learn of the future she had as a reincarnated goddess.
