Celeste has the appearance of a typical teenager, except for the fact that she is short in stature compared to other girls her age, standing at about 5 feet and 5 inches. Her body looks like that of a runner, and she has a fit weight of 115 pounds. Celeste's skin is a creamy white, and in the sunlight it looks almost translucent. Her nails are always painted in different shades of blue, normally a tirquoise. Celeste's hair is a dark chestnut brown that appears jet black. It goes down to her mid-waist and is beach wavy. Her face takes on a heart shape. Celeste's eyes are her most prominent feature, because they are so large. Her nose is very petite and upturned, and she has large, pouty lips. In regards to makeup, Celeste usually does not apply much exept some eyeliner around her eyes, eyeshadow, and lipstick.

Personality Description:

Celeste is a very loving and caring individual, and these traits show in her actions every single day. Her sweet personality makes her a very likeable person who is loved by most and hated by only a few. Being loyal to her friends is something that is not optional, and when a friend needs someone to stick by them through a rough patch in their life, they can always count on Celeste. Celeste is full of humor and can make even the most akward moments become filled with laughter and joy. Even though she may crack jokes, she would never go so far to intentionally make fun of an individual. When first meeting people, Celeste is extremely reclusive and introverted, and it takes a long time to form a bond with her and have her consider someone a friend that she can trust. Many times she will hesitate before entering a serious relationship in fear that she will be hurt or rejected in the long run. When someone breaks Celeste's trust, it is almost impossible to gain it back and that individual can be sure that Celeste will probably never trust them again. History:

Celeste was born in New York City on December 5th to parents of English descent. Her father, Thomas Austen, was an important politician who barely ever showed his face in the household because of his business trips. Vivian Austen, her mother, was a stereotypical bored housewife who organized charity events. For a great deal of her early childhood, Celeste was taken care of by the various nannies that the Austens had hired to keep her company and practically raise her. All of Celeste's nannies were old and cranky, but they successfuly taught her proper ettiquete and how to behave in a social environment. Celeste was cast into a high end world, but she felt as though she didn't belong. Other girls were thrilled to go to wild parties, events, basically anywhere were they would be in the spotlight. Celeste, on the other hand, would much rather enjoy herself curled up on the couch with a good book. Seeing that their daughter was never going to end up to be the girl that they wished her to be, Celeste's parents sent to to live with her grandmother in a large house upstate. Celeste very much enjoyed the company of her grandmother, who was the one person who truly understood her. Being sourrounded by large forests, Celeste loved spending time walking through the winding trails. On most days, she would spend a whole day traveling through them, discovering new flowers and plants. One certain day, though, that trip wasn't going to be enjoyable. The skies getting quite dark, Celeste made her way down the trail, but she was soon unable to see the trail itself because of the thick fog beginning to appear just below her thigh. It was hard to see anything about three feet in front of her, as her vision was obscured by a cloud of white. Not seeing the gnarly roots portruding from the ground below her, Celeste fell face down into sticky mud crawling with various critters. The fall knocked her virtually unconsious, and waking up the next day in an unknown room made her head throb of pain and fear even more.

CONNECTION TO THE MYTH ' '

Celeste believes that everyone deserves to be treated equally no matter who they are or what they did. The same goes for Astraea, as she is the personificaiton of justice. Celeste can sometimes be very naive and childlike, and Astraea is associated with innocence and purity.

ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '

Having no other obligations for the rest of the day, Hale got dressed in sport-like attire and headed to the track. The weather was perfect for running; cloudy and crisp, cool air. Setting her water bottle down on the nearby bleachers, she noticed another one situated right next to hers. Looking up, she spotted another person on the track, but they were all the way on the other end which made it hard to recognize them. Hale probably wouldn’t even recognize the person, seeing as though she had only transferred here a week ago. Breathing in the refreshing air, she did a fair amount of stretching before sticking her headphones in her ears and blasting her iPod on full volume. That was the only way that she could tune out the rest of the world and relax completely. Hale’s long legs, although they hadn’t done running in forever, were gaining on the other person quickly, and she could sense by the way their pace was sluggish that they had already been running for quite some time, or that they were very much out of shape. Hale smirked at swiftly passed the other runner, who had obviously attempted to keep her behind him by increasing their speed. Slowly, her song ended and there was a long pause before the next one started. “Hey!” The silence had allowed her to catch the one word that the other runner yelled in her direction, but she wasn’t going to stop. Rounding around the edge of the track, she caught a glance of the person from the corner of her eye, and she saw that they had taken a small break to drink water. Although they were a fair distance away, she could sense the person’s eyes on her. Picking up her speed, she decided that she was rude not to respond to the person’s ‘hey’. Slowly, she approached the person, and before she could say anything they put down their bottle and fell into step with her. Hale flashed her set of pearly whites. “Hey there. I believe we haven’t met.”

Hey there!

Bienvenue and welkommen. Nice to see new faces. Well, not ‘see’ but you get my drift.

Anyway, I’ll get straight to business because I’m eager for you to start RPing. So far, it looks good. The ability fits, the likes and dislikes, all that sort of thing works. Normally, I’d ask you find a few more mythological facts, but the only one that really pertains to Astraea is that she was on Earth, it became corrupt, and so she left and became a constellation. Therefore, no need to change anything there.

Now, for the meh news. First, the physical description and the personality description. We tend to ask for at least two paragraphs. I know, it sucks. Those two are my LEAST favorite parts to fill out, but those are the rules. You can do the bare minimum. Just add something like what Celeste wears or delve into how wonderful her smile is or how lissome she tends to be (that’s what I usually do, I just rant on whatever charrie I’m working on’s appearance).

It’s the same for the personality. A trick I’ve been using lately is to take whichever of the three words you’ve put under her pictures (I think ‘demure’ and ‘enchanting’ fit best here) and delve deeper into how she’s demure/enchanting and what tiny examples you have of that. It goes along with the ranting thing and it helps fill up a page.

Second and lastly, the bio is also a bit short. It doesn’t have to be a twelve page novella or something, but it does need to be a bit longer. Something you could do is add in elements from her mythological story:

She was the daughter of Zeus and Themis, she lived on earth while all the gods lived in heaven, she left earth when men started to become corrupt and then she became one of the stars. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same story verbatim (something I tend to do and have been working on because otherwise it leads to really depressing stories), but you can take elements from it. You could also use symbols. Like, since this goddess spent most of her time on earth, you could have Celeste spend a lot of time with a group of friends or something and they become belligerent and mean so she leaves. And, instead of becoming a literal constellation, you could have her discover her abilities or something like that.

Just some suggestions on lengthening her bio. You don’t HAVE to take them, you can put your own spin on the myth. Plus, adding elements from Astraea's myth helps fill up a page.

That’s it really. Just some paragraphs need to be lengthened (at least another paragraph). It can be short. I just looked it up and the bare minimum for a paragraph is five to six sentences. There's no limit for how long a sentence is so they can be short as well. I know it’s kinda crappy. Like I said, I HATE writing the physical description and personality, so I get that that might be a hassle, but it’ll pay off in the end and make her a more fleshed out charrie. You can take a look at some of my charries and their bios (save for the teacher I have, but that’s just because she’s a teacher and doesn’t really need a bio) for examples. They’re the one’s with “Perse Pantheon” down at the bottom.
