AMEERA ADIRA BINT SAFIY-ALLAH BIN MUNIR IBN HASHEM AL-NEJEM
Dynamic Go-Getter Autocrat
basics.
• Full Name | Ameera Adira bint Safiy-Allah bin Munir ibn Hashem Al-Nejem
• Significance of Name |
How your character's full name can relate to the god's names.
' first -
Ameera- it’s an Arabic title that means “Princess” since she and her sisters are princesses of a lesser branch of the Jordanian royal family. As the daughter of god, supposedly, I imagine they would be considered princesses.
Adira- Al-Uzza was the goddess of strength, among other things, and the daughter of god. Adira means “strength, noble, powerful.”
' middle -
bint Safiy-Allah- means “daughter of Allah’s Chosen One”. While it’s actually her father’s name, as a daughter of god, she was probably one of his chosen ones.
bin Munir- means ‘son of the Moon.’ It’s her grandfather’s name, but the three goddesses from Nabataea were all aspects of the moon with Al-Uzza being the new moon.
ibn Hashem- is an ancestral name that means ‘descended from Hashem.’ The Jordanian royal family was descended from Hashem and this just links them to that family.
' last -
Al-Nejem- surname that means “of the stars.” The three goddesses were heavily linked to the stars and the heavens and Noa is no exception.

• First Impression |
Noa had never seen a point to make-up and thus never wore it. Why? Why should she bother with such trivialities? Her sisters had told her she was pretty with or without make-up and thus she made it a point to never wear it. So, here she was, now, without make-up on.
It was one of those classic Israeli summers and she’s sought out the shade in order to hide from the sun. No reason for it. She just didn’t want to be in the sun. It wasn’t like she’d burn. Noa’s long blonde hair was tied back in a high messy bun. While she wasn’t sweating or particularly needed her hair up, she did need to concentrate and stray wisps were getting in her face. They’d catch to pillowy lips and soon it was like looking through golden spider webs. She couldn’t feel pain and thus couldn’t feel itchiness, so it was often awhile before she realized something was amiss, like her hair being blown in her face. Simple things like that made her wish she could physically feel something. Her eyes, the color of a Jerusalem olive, scanned the page she was reading, and replying to. As much as technology made life considerably easier, she still felt like writing, physically writing, a letter was much more intimidate.
It was written in Arabic from Siya: Can you come home for a visit? Robby is sick again…
She knew what that meant. Robby’s abilities didn’t allow her the luxury of control like Noa’s did. Noa closed her eyes and sighed, praying, like she never did, in her husky voice to a god or higher power she hoped was listening. Then she replied back in a mix of Hebrew and Arabic, for her sisters knew both, Beloved little sister, I’m unable to come at this time. Work… is tough. Barak Amir’s eyes were always on her. She looked away and continued making her letter sound as harmless as possible, otherwise it wouldn’t be sent out. Not from where she was.
personality.
• Overall Personality | It’s hard for Noa to ‘switch off.’ She was trained as a soldier and therefore can act a bit stuffy. She’s not quite a ‘happy go lucky but I can switch into instant kill mode the moment my family is threatened’, but she is somewhere in between. If you can make her smile, you’ve just achieved something few have.
Noa will treat her fellow teachers as her equals, though her superior officer is ultimately the historian. Noa’s siblings are her weakness. She loves her sisters more than she does herself and her brother’s future self. His current self she’s not on speaking terms with. Noa understands her sister Siya’s quiet nature and the enticing personality of her sister Robby. She doesn’t see them as some quiet librarian shy type or some slutty tart, she sees why they are the way they are and she understands it and loves them for their personalities. She understands where her future brother is coming from and loves him all the more for it, hoping his present self will turn out the same.
Noa is a training fanatic though she doesn’t like sparring with others due to the fact that she can break something on them without really trying. Also, she’s not competitive at all in any way shape or form. Sparring and training is to perfect oneself, not to compete and see who’s better. It’s no use trying to chide her into it. Unless it’s a class, she won’t be tricked into doing it. Now, kidnap one of her family (good luck) and she’ll destroy you.
Noa also has a fear of relationships, sex in particular. She can’t physically had sex so what she doesn’t know scares her.
The Amir family is a thorn in her side. She’s particularly peeved at a Mr. Amir, who ran like a whipped bitch from his duties in the mossad, but there’s nothing to be done about it so mostly she’ll ignore his existence. She had saved him from the rubble but her ran away and left and she was to clean up the pieces. Not to mention his father, Barak, has on multiple occasions approached her for less than appropriate needs. She’d avoided it, luckily, and the discharge from the army was the best thing, in at least one way, for her.

• Best Memory | I’m four years old I think and my toddling sister is maybe two. We’re outside and Qadr is gently humming in Arabic, a lullaby. I’m not her baby, neither is Robby, but she’s never treated us any differently. Qadr is a nice woman and she’s always accepted us as her daughters. As her husband’s children, we are hers too and we’re fortunate that she isn’t like some step-mothers in fairy tales. No, Qadr is a nice woman and I have no problem calling her Ummi. She’s not Ima, my mother, but I’m fine with her being my Jordanian Ummi. She’s smiling at us, rocking a basinet. The day is warm, the sun is setting, and Venus is in the sky now. I only know that because I ask Abba all the time and he tells me the same answer all the time. From the basinet, I can hear cooing. I lift Robby up, who is clumsy because she had chubby baby hands, to look in the basinet at our newest sister. Siyana. She has dark midnight hair, not like my ‘sunshine’ hair, and dark eyes that stare at us like she knows us and has always known us.
Qadr is kind to Robby too. Robby’s ummi died when Robby was born so Qadr likes taking care of Robby. She sees how hard it is for me to lift Robby, holding her around the middle like an irate cat, and pulls my green eyed sister onto her lap, saying softly in Arabic, “See, my little princesses? This is Siyana, your little sister, a new princess.”
I’m only four years old, but with this new sister, I feel completed.
• Worst Memory | The smoke is thick in my lungs but they don’t burn. My ears aren’t ringing and the blood on my skin isn’t my own. I can’t say anything but a breathy fearful “Ah… ah… ah…” as I check myself over. My clothes are burned and singed, but only my ash covered skin is visible underneath, blackened in some places. I don’t feel any pain though. I don’t feel anything, but I’m moving so I can only assume that I’m not dead. Nerve damage?
My hand immediately jumps to the back of my neck, checking along my spine and nothing, nothing at all except for tears in my clothes. I can’t feel anything. I can only dig myself out. I start digging.
It was an IED in Tel Aviv. That’s why I’m here right now. I look around, look around at my men, my team, my family. I only see one.
He’s younger than me and the son of my commanding officer. He’s young and he’s bleeding. He’s bleeding everywhere. I half crawl, half run over to him, though the debris trips me up several times. I gently assess his wounds. He has a nasty wound to the head and his blood is all over my hands now. “Van? Van? Listen to me soldier, wake up. Wake up.” I’m commanding him in Hebrew.
So far he doesn’t stir.
ability.
The power in which one is immune or highly resistant to all forms of external physical damage.
-The Superpower Wiki
• Applications
- Noa is unable to feel physical pain, cannot be shot, stabbed, or damaged in any conventional way.
- She can never bleeding or sustain loss of limb.
- Death due to old age (as opposed to preemptive death) is seemingly the only cause of death for Noa. Thus to kill her physically, it becomes a waiting game with time.
• Limitations
- While someone can drop an atomic bomb on her or try and poison her with no avail, she can be psychically overpowered. She's had some non-superhuman training to deal with such attacks but she's still susceptible to telepathy and the like. Telekinesis doesn't count as it's a physical attack.
- She's not ageless. She'll physically die eventually but it's slowed by her invulnerability and really old age is the only thing that can physically kill her.
- Psychic attacks that attack the mind or spirit can harm her (telepathy, emotion manipulation, empathy, etc.). Psychic attacks that just attack her physiology (telekinesis, sex induction, pheromone induction, etc.) can't harm her.
- Healing doesn't work on her because it's a physical power and doesn't affect her.
- While she's immune to physical attacks, her clothes aren't. It's a pain in the ass.

• Overall history | Adira is the oldest daughter of Amir Safiy-Allah bin Munir bin Abdullah ibn Hashem Al-Nejem, a lesser prince of the Jordanian royal family, and his first wife, a Danish Jewish woman named Hanna Davidsen Hofheim. It was a bit of a scandal when the marriage occurred as Hanna was a Zionist and a single mother, which wasn’t necessarily a popular notion in Jordan. Nevertheless, the relationship, which began in college where Safiy-Allah was entranced with the young woman and married her after six months of knowing each other.
About two years later, Ameera Adira bint Safiy-Allah bin Munir ibn Hashem Al-Nejem was born to a lesser branch of the Jordanian royal family, though she was born in Israel quite suddenly and quite by accident. Her family and her people had problems accepting the half-Jewish princess, though her father blatantly claimed her as his daughter and boldly proclaimed his love for his wife, but, seeing as how it was a spur of the moment relationship, the romance fizzled and it wasn’t long before Safiy-Allah and Hanna divorced, with Hanna moving to Israel. Due to his love for his first born, he raised her as the princess she was. She developed a militant attitude, though no one was quite sure why since she was pretty much set up to be a spoiled princess.
Having a severely patriotic attitude towards her birth county, Adira was practically biting at the bit in order to join the military and serve her country. She was more than happy to shed her old life and through herself into the allotted military service. Since she was technically an Israeli citizen, she was obligated to serve military time at the age of 18. She accepted it willingly, despite her father offering to get her out of it. She was a natural and soon worked up the rank to moussad due to her natural aptitude for battle.
Adira, called Noa by her brother and sisters for reasons she’s still not sure of, had, and still has, a very loving and kind relationship with her siblings. Being special, like her, they have a bond that most others don’t.
Adira discovered her ability during a mission. It went south very quickly and ended in an explosion that nearly killed a young cadet named Van Amir. Adira, though, was unharmed, unlike most of her comrades who were either killed or maimed. It was sloppy on her part and she punished severely by the young man’s father. When the young soldier escaped, she was punished even more so. She accepted it though, like a man, looking down on the soldier who ran away like a whipped bitch. She was a dog of the military and accepted that it was her fault a mistake was made. She was also discharged from the army.
Since she didn’t have a scratched and hadn’t even felt the pain of the blast, she thought this odd. She attempted a number of ‘tests’ and found that it was impossible to wound her. She could rub herself down in typhus covered blankets, eat glass and then strap herself to a suicide vest and nothing would happen. She knew because she tried. She couldn’t be harmed. She put this to use, training herself in strength training and how far she could push her limits. This was all usually done at night. She had always loved a starry sky and practicing her abilities under the view of the stars felt right and comfortable.
When she was discharged, she was a bit lost. She didn’t know what to do with her new-found freedom from the military and threw herself into diplomatic favors for her father. She liked traveling to it was a welcome release. This was short-lived as Pantheon soon called, said she was the warrior-goddess Al-Uzza and invited her to be the Physical Powers Teacher. She agreed, seeing as how her siblings were going as well.
