STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance:
Mitch has no particular style sense; he wears whatever his closet offers. Mainly, though, this will consist of t-shirts and jeans. Because he's not a total slob and does have some sense of professionalism, none of his work clothes will have holes in them; this is not to say that none of his clothes are holey.
He has chocolate brown hair that is on the longish side, but he refuses to cut it much shorter due to a truly heinous haircut he got as a child; pretty much scarred him for life. On his face, he has a meticulously trimmed goatee; he actually works to keep it in the rugged, devil may care style. Along with his sexy mustache, it frames (and hides) his girly lips.
Dark and always a bit sad, even when the rest of him is cheerful, Mitch's eyes are the gateway to his soul, for lack of better term. When he is sober and down to earth, they hide nothing. If he feels it, despite what he may appear, his eyes will show the truth. When he's high, though, he's completely out there; his eyes will become glassy and he will usually be holding a bag of Doritos.
Mitch has various tattoos along his arms and across his chest and back. Thirteen in all, each symbolize a dynamic point in his life. For example, his latest, the rising sun over the ocean and a bird flying free across the waves, represents his enlightenment of his godly nature.

Personality Description:
Act :
Mitch is a compulsive person with mild bipolar disorder. He likes to go out and have a good time, and what this means can differ depending on his mood. In a good mood, he has been known to go to Vegas and gamble, smoke, and pretty much screw away a whole month's salary. In this mood, he has very little regard for rules or regulations; his inhibitions are lowered, and therefore he is up for mostly any activity that he will regret in the morning. When he is in his depressed or down mood, he is the exact opposite. He becomes introverted, antisocial, and can generally be found locked in his room or a secluded, quiet place, writing music or poetry and getting high.
Inner Self :
Always in an inner battle with himself, Mitch strives to show his fun-loving, carefree side to students and coworkers. But, when alone, he expresses his constant frustration in music and dance. He will sing when his mood gets too high or low, and dance when singing alone doesn't work.
He also spends a lot of time contemplating the world. Usually he will be high when he goes into contemplation, but not always; depends on the topic and how curious he is about the answer.
Student Interaction :
Mitch strives to be an open-minded educator. Very rarely will he snap at his students. Even on one of his "down days", he will remain silent and pensive, and allow the class to direct the flow of conversation. He rarely gives more work than what can be completed in his class and gets along well with teenagers, being somewhat irresponsible himself. However, he can be severe in punishment when he deems a situation has gone "too far". 'There is a time and a place for everything' are the words he lives by.
Faculty Interaction :
As stated above, Mitch has a mild case of bipolar disorder. This means that when he's up, he's up; and when he's down, he's down. His reactions to his fellow staff members are completely dependent on his mood. He has few friends his own age, given his tendency to the ludicrous or absurd. Teenagers like him because he knows how to party and doesn't rat them out; mature adults are wary of him, though. Thus, if he is up, he will be up, and if he is down, he will be down.

WELCOME TO MY LIFE ' '
Place of Origin: Tlalmanalco, Mexico
History:
Mitch and his twin sister, Lily, were abandoned and left for dead in Tlalmanalco, Mexico. A researcher from North America, in Mexico to research the psychedelic effects its native plants had on the body, found the pair and took pity on them. For the purpose of getting them out of Mexico, he claimed the children as his own and returned to his home in Arizona. There, he gave custody of the children to his good friends, the MacAllisters, who had tried unsuccessfully for years to have children; and so it was that Mitchell and Lilith MacAllister became part of a family.
Mr. and Mrs. MacAllister were what Mr. Wasson, the man who originally found the twins, called Flower Children. Growing up, Mitch always questioned what this meant, while simultaneously becoming one himself. Mr. Wasson, who stuck by the children as the grew up in a commune on the outskirts of Santa Barbara, California, often tutored Mitch and Lily in reading, writing, science, and mathematics. When Mitch was seven, he expressed an interest in the gardens around the commune, and Mr. Wasson gave him his first packet of seeds to grow in a flower pot on his bedside table. The seeds were to an Echinacea flower, which Wasson believed would be easy and morale boosting for the boy to grow. What he didn't expect was for the flower to grow so exponentially; planted in early summer, by the end of September its first year, the plant was three and a half feet tall. It was later discovered, after several years of successfully growing the commune's best harvests, that Mitch was discovered by Pantheon Academy; they decreed him to be the Aztec Flower Prince, Xochipilli, and offered him a full scholarship to the school. It took a bit of effort from Mr. Wasson, but the MacAllisters finally agreed to let him attend the academy.
During his years at Pantheon, Mitch discovered a love of music, and found that he took to it as quickly as he did to growing plants. In the summer months and holidays, he would return to the commune and serenade his family and friends by firelight every night.
When he graduated, he went on to UCLA, wanting to study more on music and dance. It was here he met his wife, Maya; she was a divorcee with five children who spent the summer months with her and the rest of the year with their father, Patrick. Maya was charmed by Mitch's slapstick antics, employed to win her heart, and his flare for the dramatic. They married in his third year of college and lived in an apartment off campus until he received his master's degree in music composition. Mitch got a job composing and playing music at the local performing arts center, and life was good for a full four years.
But all good things must come to an end, and for Mitch, they ended tragically. In 2009, Maya was diagnosed with cancer, which killed her later that year. Mitch was devastated. He started drinking excessively and gambling away his paychecks. A month after Maya passed away, he was fired from his job. He started going to loan sharks for gambling money and tequila. Not long after that, he was evicted from his apartment and forced to return to the commune where he grew up.
Mr. Wasson had passed away several years before, but his parents were still there, and welcomed him home with open arms, as did his sister Lily and his nephew Quentin. His brother-in-law, Tad, wasn't much of a father figure to Quentin, being a surfer bum who was only interested in his tan. Mitch took little notice of this, however, too wrapped up in his own sorrows, which he drank away every night. For half a year, he spent his life at the commune in the same way: growing crops during the day, drinking and getting high at night. One night, he caught Quentin sneaking out of the commune, and discovered that the kid was a closet comic book nerd. After that, he spent more time with his nephew, teaching him how to grow plants and play the guitar. Before he left for Pantheon Academy, Mitch helped his nephew rig an irrigation system to the commune's gardens; to his knowledge, the system is running fine and his nephew has started middle school.
Now, Mitch starts his first year teaching at his old high school, Pantheon Academy, as the music teacher.

How long have you been RPing? The flying pegasi that frequent the hay fields out by the old middle school gave me the heads up. I had to catch them in the early hours of the morning, before the mist cleared and they turned back into hay bales, but I got them to talk.
