SRT - - - - - - - - - - - SRT is an acronym for Special Response Team. In the wake of the Pandora Crisis, the Historian came to realize that there would inevitably be threats that humanity alone would not be able to face. When the evil entities were released upon the world and mere students were asked to face the threat, surprisingly, they were successful. However, due to lack of required training the majority of students understandably crumbled under the pressure and tragically, losses ensued (with the Israel team the only team to succeed without a single casualty). And so the Historian made preparations for what would eventually become the SRT. Following the invasion of campus grounds during the Masquerade Ball, the SRT made its debut by initiating a counter-attack, with the team successfully rescuing those few students who had been kidnapped.
Since their original inception, the scope of the SRT has grown. The standing mission and aim for the SRT is stated as follows:
"To maintain the discretion of our secret world. To protect deities and the world from each other and themselves." But their mission is more than that; the SRT serves as a transitional organization that aims to find a way in which what we know as gods and goddesses to find a place in the rest of the world. As such they serve a multitude of roles; sometimes as protectors, other times as diplomats and all things outside and between.
The existence of Pantheon Academy (or at least its role beyond that of an elite high school), its students and of course, the SRT, are a closely guarded secret. The SRT maintains this secret and in the wider world is extremely infleuntial. With the resources at their command, there is little that the SRT cannot do, but for good reasons, they refrain from doing so.
- The full-time SRT member is an elite operative -- knowledgeable in a broad range of fields and capable of self-defense, familiar with communication and engagement protocols, have had emotional training and are professionals on or off the field. The many thing expected of the SRT Operative are:
- Must be a graduate. (Can be bypassed under special circumstances)
- Be able to work in a team.
- Required to log at least 10 hours in the training hall a week.
- When not on the field or in training, learn new skills.
- Instructional Regimen/Training:
- Advanced Self Defense
Advanced application of superpowers in defending themselves with martial arts included.
- Communication
Hand signals, internet and written conventions, covert communication, global military protocols and secret languages. Includes negotiation skills.
- Discipline/Emotional Training
Most people can't deal with the stress certain hard jobs place on the team and individuals. Emotional training is there to help cope with that, enabling the operative to remain cool under pressure.
- Equipment Training
Using the various advanced equipment. From kinetically shielded ablative hardsuits to tactical stealth armor right down to using a mobile phone (just in case you're a technophobe).
- First Aid
There is no guarantee that the health remains sound. Instruction in First Aid will enable temporary field treatment of wounds.
- Piloting
Mostly defensive driving, it's up to each member whether or not they wish to be able to drive a boat or commandeer a plane. It's expected each member to have their license.
- Weapons Training
While not all operatives are warriors or soldiers, it's required that in the worst case scenario that all members are able to contribute to the defense. Preferences vary between operatives -- covers edged, blunt and ranged weaponry to fire arms.
- The SRT Initiates are successful applicants who have yet to either graduate or meet the specifications required for SRT Operative or are probationary members. They are often in training and are NOT required to fill the same duties as that of SRT operatives -- if at all. Members who have Initiate status are rarely fielded without at least one SRT operative. They are expected but not required to:
- Be a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
- Log at least 1 hour in the training hall a week -- class-time inclusive.
- Have the "Self-Defense" and "SRT Training" electives listed on their class roster.

SRT Structure and Organization The SRT's organizational structure is malleable and dynamic. Other than the difference between fully qualified operatives from that of initiates, operatives are organized as required for their active assignement. Due to the flexible nature of their command structure, each operative's profile is flagged with a "divisional signature" to denote their cumulative expertise and experience in a certain field. To be clear -- with the exception of the CO (commanding officer or active leader) and that of the XO (executive officer or second in command), all fully qualified operatives are equals and each operative is referred to by their callsign. The qualification flags are as follows: ALPHA - Attack, search and destroy. "Alphas" are the mainstay warriors, often called upon when hostility is expected and armed intervention or insertion is required. Alpha members are typically the warriors and soldiers of the SRT. Requirements: Extensive emotional training, self defense and weapons training. Combat experience and offensive orientated powers a plus.
BETA - Retrievalists. "Betas" are often tasked with search and rescue operations. Their most notable role is that of the recruiting and or retrieving of future students -- sometimes, even to save them. Requirements: A cool and calm temperament. Combat training, tracking expertise and teleportation powers a plus.
GAMMA - Diplomactic Corps. "Gammas" are often charged with discretely spreading the SRT's influence and during times of crisis, spinning tales or spreading lies or doctored stories to cover for the SRTs actions. Requirements: Charismatic skills. Mental manipulation powers and influential backgrounds a plus.
DELTA - Specialists. "Deltas" are combat-orientated with special training, often employing unconventional tactics for sensitive assignments requiring precise application of force. Requirements: Special forces training.
EPSILON - Supernatural experts. "Epsilon" members are often knowledgeable about either supernatural events or mythological elements and are called upon to resolve such issues in the wider world. Requirements: Supernatural experience, mythological knowledge. Psychic abilities a plus.
LAMBDA - Weather and environmental manipulators. "Lambda" members are often called "Forecasters", an ironic title given that they manipulate the weather so that it provides the ideal conditions in support of a mission. Due to the changes in atmosphere and weather created by students on campus, members here are often charged with "smoothing" the weather out so as to prevent the undue rising of attention by meterologists worldwide. When creating the ideal conditions for an operation, the weather is often manipulated with subtlety so as not to arouse undue suspicion. Requirements: Knowledge in meterology, weather manipulation a plus.
NU - Clean up. "Nu" members are often deployed after a mission to clean up all presence of the SRT. While those with the "Gamma" flag often cover up incidents, "Nu" members take a more active role; often retrieving or destroying SRT technology in the field, destruction of evidence or -- in the worse case scenario, silencing witnesses. Missions requiring a "Nu" skillset are often called "Null Ops". Requirement: Tracking and disposal, stealth and subterfuge training a must.
OMICRON - Medical. "Omicron" members often find themselves patching up others. While there are certainly combat medics, those with actual healing abilities are valued such that they are heavily guarded when deployed to the field. They are responsible for performing post-action check-ups, physicals and dispensing health care to all other members. Requirements: Medical training. Healing ability a plus.
RHO - Human resources. "Rho" members are special personnel with unique unrestricted access to global personal profiles. Due to the number of "gods" and "goddesses" within the SRT being smaller than what the organization requires, the SRT often fills out its positions with talented personnel from across the globe. "Rho" members review and sort through promising profiles and test said individuals both actively and passively to determine if their character disposition is ideal for working within and for the SRT. Should a promising person turn out, it is also a "Rho" member's responsibility to persuade them to join the SRT. It should be noted that this process is never forced; prospective members must make the choice of their own volition. They are essentially talent scouts for the wider world. Requirements: Charisma. Psychology a plus.
SIGMA - Magical elements. "Sigmas" are the magical experts, the key difference between this and Epsilon is that, while Epsilon members are experts in the supernatural field, Sigma members have the power to cause or resolve it directly. Requirements: Magical powers.
TAU - Support. "Tau" members are those who fulfill the numerous roles required for the SRT as a whole to function; from administrator duties to maintenance and repair and development and acquisition of equipment. Requirements: Various.
CHI - Reality warpers/time manipulators. "Chi" members are responisble for monitoring spatial and temporaral anomalies. To be frank, they monitor localized time and disruptions in reality. Requirements: Appropriate powers and knowledge in sciences humanity doesn't even know exists.
PSI - Psychics. "Psi" are those with mental powers capable of tracking, finding and manipulating the minds of others. Their roles are numerous; from training others in the resistence of mental attack, to the forced extraction of knowledge from a person of interest's mind; they are often present during sensitive interviews and interrogations. With the advanced technology available to the SRT they can also create "mental loops" between groups in the field, enabling team members to share thoughts during operations or likewise, locating and applying their power from within the safety of the SRT's headquarters. Includes precognitives. Requirements: Psychic powers, ethical disposition.
OMEGA - Purpose unknown. Methodology unknown. History uknown. Requirements: Direct CO/leader approval.

SRT Roster When referred to or called upon, SRT members are referenced by status then callsign (eg. Operative Trueshot, Initiate Hellfire, etc). In the field or on assignment SRT members are simply referred to by their callsign. Operatives
- Radek "Eric" Cadman (CO/Commanding Officer/Leader)
Callsign: Trojan QF: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, DELTA, EPSILON, NU, OMICRON, RHO, TAU, OMEGA
- Christian Dinh [NPC]
Callsign: Rain QF: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, LAMBDA, TAU Sex: Male Personality: Rain is the ideal "average" operative, having an outwardly calm disposition, an eagerness to learn new things and expand his skill set. While he's never said it openly, he is mildly agitated whenever one of the other weather manipulators on campus carelessly alter the weather from the day's scheduled forecast. History: Graduated from Pantheon Academy in 2010, Rain was part of the second generation of graduates that joined straight up with the SRT. He has since proven time and again the success of the the SRT's training.
- Tina de la Roche [NPC]
Callsign: Psi QF: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, TAU, PSI Sex: Female Personality: Psi is very much dedicated to her duties, spending on average an extra hour daily performing secondary duties within the SRT. While energetic and very much social, she has expressed her preference to more interesting GAMMA assignments, due to the repetitive nature of having to cover up for the careless use of powers outside of the campus. Often speaks rapid Spanish when stressed. History: Graduated from Pantheon Academy in 2010, Psi is Rain's classmate and so shares much of the same history. Before Pantheon Academy, she was moving between residences in Spain and France -- this exposure enabled her to be fluent in both languages. Her english is suprisingly good; it is easy to mistake her for having grown up in America.
- Chester Williams [NPC]
Callsign: Jester QF: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, DELTA, NU, OMICRON, TAU Sex: Male Personality: As his callsign suggests, Jester is always eager to entertain. Cracking his jokes around base or even making himself the butt end of the jokes of others, he is as easy going as a soldier can get. History: Jester initially worked for American Special Forces, he was scouted first by the CIA but upon completion of his training at Langley was contacted by the Historian. He is surprisingly young (in his late 20s).His service to Pantheon Academy predates the founding of the SRT, initially serving to retrieve students and ensure their safety or rescuing them from less than peaceful situations. He is a founding member of the SRT and a welcome face to most students who know him.
- Quentin Jones [NPC]
Callsign: Q (formerly Kodiak) QF: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, DELTA, NU, OMICRON, TAU Sex: Male Personality: Q is the bane of anyone trying to avoid paperwork. He is tough but fair and insists that any operative to keep a full stock and maintainenance of their own inventory. A natural leader and teacher, he is the perfect image of a veteran passing on his skills. History: A UK national, Q spent the prime of his life in the Special Air Service of the British Army. Into his late forties by the time the SRT had scouted him, he joined up with the founding of the SRT and is therefore a founding member. Having passed his prime, or "glory days" as he calls it, he deploys to the field only when necessary or explicitly asked preferring instead the simplicity and quiet of his role as Quartermaster. His callsign was initially "Kodiak", but after many operatives took to calling him Q, he requested to have it changed because, according to him "Q for Quentin and Quartermaster and because Cadman's been watching James Bond films again".

SRT Uniforms, Apparel and Armor - - - - - - - - - - -
The SRT by default has a casual dress code. Full-time operatives may wear what they like but are required to be reasonable. As of yet, the organization is a secret to the world and wearing clothing that publicly announces a member's affiliation to the SRT is strictly prohibited. That isn't to say that the SRT is without uniforms; far from it. But all members -- support staff, reserves and full-time operatives are required to observe protocol associated with each outfit. - Formal Dress Uniform
The Formal Dress Uniform is the SRT equivalent to formal attire. It is intended to neatly present a member of the SRT during formal ceremonies, evening dinner parties and dances alike. Use of the Full Dress Uniform is completely optional; even during SRT-only ceremonies when formal-attire is required.
At present the SRT doesn't have a Formal Dress Uniform.
- Battle/Combat Dress Uniform
The Battle/Combat Dress Uniform of the SRT is the uniform worn solely to distinguish a member from the rest of the student populace. Because of the current covert nature of the SRT, it is also only worn on campus. It is compulsory for any member of the Reserves and Support Staff to wear their BDU whilst attending to any duties related to the SRT; this includes training unless specifically given permission/instruction to do otherwise. Full-time Operatives are free from this restriction.
All SRT members are required to have at least two sets of uniforms in their personal lockers at the headquarters and are encouraged to have at least one at home.
The Battle Dress Uniform itself uses a black-grey-white digital camouflage pattern, features the SRT emblem on the right shoulder with an insignia denoting their status on the left shoulder and center of chest. The member's last name is stitch-stenciled over the right breast and "SRT" over the left. It is otherwise indistinguishable from many modern military units around the world.
During times of emergency defense, members are permitted to enter the armory and outfit themselves with additional body armor, knee, elbow and shoulder pads along with a helmet, ballistic goggles and combat harness and arm themselves appropriately. All members are constantly reminded that, despite having powers, a single stray shot is all that is required to end them and are asked to observe caution.
- Operator Tactical Suit Mk I
The Operator Tactical Suit Mark I (SRT-OT Suit Mk I) is the dedicated uniform for full-time Operatives; deployed when the Operative expects to be in an armed conflict or intends to infiltrate or conduct covert operations within a locale.
The Operator Tactical Suit is fully modular and can have pieces worn inconspicuously (having the torso and pants set together would look like the operative was wearing a diving suit). The fabric of the suit is interwoven with next-generation polymers and other advanced synthetic fibers which result in the suit being water-proof/breathable, bullet-proof and extremely resilient to the elements. An operative wearing this suit would feel as comfortable in the Sahara and Anarctic as they would in their own home. It is also colored to greatly defuse light as to assist in blending in the dark; it is form-fitting, skin-tight and reduces noise that the operative might make.
Additional features that come with the suit are as follows:
- Combat boots
- Assault Vest
- Utility Belt
- Balaclava
- Tactical Harness
- Knee pads
- Compact Rebreather
- Hard-knuckle gloves
- Tri-focal Multi-Vision goggles (infrared, night-vision and sonar)
To be noted, because the suit is modular it can have additional plating, belts and harnesses combined to provide better protection or more room on the operative's person to carry additional equipment.
The suit itself is manufactured on-campus, each Operative is issued a full set upon their initiation and is required to clean and maintain their own suit. If damaged the Operative can receive a replacement and if misplaced is required to report it immediately. Due to the advanced polymers used, Operatives are to take care not to misplace any part of their set while on assignment.
