STRIKE A POSE ' '
Physical Appearance: Standing roughly, 6'1" Draven is fairly tall, though not outstandingly so. His body frame is lean and decently muscled, but nowhere near the point of appearing as if he was on steroids. He likes to remain healthy and fit, not ripped. His complexion is on the average side, with very few blemishes, ranging from fair in the winter to mildly tan in the summer. His more noticeable features is his strong facial structure and eyes that are so dark they seem as black holes. Because of this, he has a piercing gaze that most can't shake off that seems to burn through to their soul. A bit dramatic perhaps, but ironically it seems to relate to the belief that one eye holds the power of the sun and the other the moon. When his powers start to manifest or his emotions start to rise his eyes will change to one gold and one silver. His hair is also a dark brown that runs roughly to his shoulders and is generally well kept.
Living in a fairly wealthy family, Draven has been blessed to have clothes that are well made, but slightly on the more formal side of things. Unless he is hunting or doing outdoor activities, he normally wears button up shirts, pants, and leather shoes. On the occasions he wants to be more casual, he might wear a cotton polo and leather jacket and jeans. One thing to remember is that you'd sooner see him shirtless than in a simple t-shirt. As for accessories he tends to wear a watch and an 'eye of Horus' necklace with a black strand and the gold pendant.
LET'S GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER ' '
Personality Description: The first thing to understand about Draven is that he is protective over those he cares about as well as his possessions. If anyone is harmed out of intent, be sure that he will come seeking retribution for what has been done. He is a firm believer in an eye for an eye mentality and forgiveness is slim if the action was not an accident. In some cases this is a good thing, but occasionally he can take this role a little to far, often getting himself in trouble with the one he is protecting or being too harsh on the assumed attacker.
Another trait that is very similar to his incarnation is his strong ability to lead. Horus was one of the head gods who held great power over Egyptian society, so likewise Draven carries the same attitude of a confident ruler. This is not to say he is power hungry, but that when given the opportunity he doesn't shy away from the duty of guiding others. In his mind, he feels as if it is where he belongs. However this trait too can become a vice when he is confronted by someone with the same head strong personality. More often than not, their wills would clash until the other yielded or a greater reason was found for him to stand down. He might be confident and stubborn, but he's not thick headed.
Lastly, one of his better qualities that bears little weakness at all is the fact Draven has a loyal heart and holds justice, truth, and honor at a high standard compared to most. He would sooner die than lie, steal, or cheat to get what he wants. After knowing his uncle, he's more than aware where that path would lead to and Draven wants nothing to do with it.
As an odd note, however, just because his incarnation represents the avenger of mankind and the living pharoah and protector doesn't mean he has no sense of humor. Among the ancient Egyptians Horus was the bringer of light and happiness to most and only evil had need to fear him. So, likewise, Draven has no problem laughing and relaxing with friends, just as long as it remains that way. As soon as an enemy crosses his path, his smile will fade and blood will appear...

So it isn't that surprising that air and wind manipulation was Draven's first power when it came the time his true self was coming forth. So far he has learned to fly, move things with the force of wind, explode things that are affected by air pressure, and use this ability to increase the power in his combat skills. Some things he hasn't fully mastered yet is using the wind as a shield, creating a vacuum bubble around a person so they can't breath, or completely controlling his power without the effects of his emotions or moods.
WELCOME TO MY LIFE ' '
Place of Origin: London
History:
Draven was born to Raina and Anthony Levant in the year 1994. However, his father would not be there on the day he would be born. As sad as it sounds, they should have expected some evil plan was being plotted. Just like the old saying goes, 'Good fortune can't run forever. Sooner or later bad luck will catch up.' For the past several years, both his parents appeared to have lived the golden life. Each were well off since Anthony was now Mayor of NYC and his mother a Cambridge educated scientist from Britain. So far everything seemed perfect.
As smart as they were, they should have known with such prosperity, there was a good chance someone would envy a life that his parents shared....Someone like Anthony's younger brother Seth. Draven's uncle had had a decent life with much of the privileges his father had, but apparently it wasn't good enough. His small successes was nothing to match against his brother and in his eyes the grass was always greener on Anthony's side of the fence. Seth wanted his power, his wife, and his father's respect. This unrelenting desire was the force that led to him secretly killing his brother by trickery.
By the time Anthony was found dead, Draven's mother was devastated and started to suspect that Seth had something to do with it. The only problem was they had no proof to tie him to the murder. The investigation only led to the conclusion of a freak drunken accident, but Raina knew by the look in her brother-in-law's eye was not of grief.
Fearing for their lives, she fled New York to return back home in London. Certainly their, her son, the last remnant of her wonderful life, could be raised peacefully. Only a few months after her arrival, she gave birth to young Draven Heru Levant. As strange as his name was, it seemed to suit him. She wanted him to be strong as a hunter, which is what his first name meant. His middle name, however, was all Raina's father's fault. He was one of the best Egyptologists in the world and over the years gathered some of the best artifacts in the British Museum's exhibit on the field. Therefore, Draven's grandfather demanded that one of is names should reflect something they both love: Egypt's history. So that is where Heru came in. It was the Sky god's original name, and to them, commanded respect. After all, it seemed the young boy's life reflected the old tale of Horus' birth. It would be perfect...
Years went by as Draven grew to be a strong and bright lad. He was the guy most people wanted to be. He wasn't perfect, but he had both brains and brawn. He made good marks and was part of the track and wrestling teams. History and science were his strong points, most likely for the reason that he practically lived in the British Museum since both his mother and grandfather worked there.
His life remained fairly normal until he reached 14. That was when the world he knew practically turned upside down. What appeared to start it all was when his mother finally told him the true story about his father and how she was sure his uncle was the murderer. Being the person he was, anger started boiling in his chest as he thought how unfair it was for someone like Seth to be allowed to roam free. What if he finally found them and wanted to go after those he loved? He wouldn't have it. It was then a gust of wind rushed through the house with such force that it moved and knocked down nearly everything in it's path, including busting open the entrance door. What made it strange was that no window was open to cause such a thing. As month went by, this occurrence started happening more and more, most of the time when Draven's emotions or stress was at its peak.
Having seen a few of these episodes, his family started to worry and question what was going on. They had never seen anything like it. In one of his recent episodes, Draven had seemed to be thrown into the air as if the wind had propelled him.
By now, he knew something was wrong as wind appeared to come out of nowhere whenever his emotions started to rise. To be honest it freaked him out. However, just as his family did, Draven attempted to keep this secret from them.
Then one day as he roamed the Museum, waiting for his mother to finish what work she had to do, he came upon several cases of artifacts that represented some of the Egyptian gods. Most of these appeared to center around one: Horus. Looking over each one, intently looking at the glyphs on the tablets, he loosely read the story that seemed to reflect his own. It was one he had heard before, but then he hadn't made the click that seemed to open a door to several odd possibilities. Coming to the last case, his eyes were drawn to the was scepter that was marked with Horus' glyph. Smirking to himself, he couldn't help but joke about how he should have it because his name was written on it. It was then that the staff started to vibrate and fidget before he came loose and shattered the case as it flew to his head. Shocked and uncertain he looked around and oddly found both his grandfather and mother looking at him oddly, along with a tall man he hadn't met before. Thinking he was in trouble, he tried to explain and apologize, but before he could finish, the mysterious man put up his hand to quiet him, only saying coolly that the scepter was indeed his. Later he would find out that the man was a Pantheon recruiter and, unbelievably, he was in most ways Horus reborn. By the fall of that year he joined the Academy and since spent almost 3 good years there.
CONNECTION TO THE MYTH ' '
* Like Osiris, Draven's father died at the hands of his brother
*Justas Isis fled Seth, so did Raina his mother
*It's said Horus was raised on an island and so is England
*His family has a strong relation to anything of ancient Egypt
* Raina was a great scientist, much like Isis was to magic. In sense, what was magic back then is science now.
* Draven's father held a place of power and brought prosperity to where he lived, much like Osiris did to his people.
* Horus was a fighter and Draven often participated in fighting sports.
*Horus was also a god of protection, and that desire is a strong factor in Draven's personality.
* His power relates to Horus' domain, or the sky.
ROLEPLAYING SAMPLE ' '
Even as he continued to look around the room, he still could hear the professor's frantic voice echo his word of betrayal. In the moment of silence that would follow Chaz could tell the puzzle pieces he had given to her were now clicking. He hadn't necessarily meant betraying his family or her, at least in that context, which only lead to the real possibility his actions were far worse these past weeks than a nasty house prank.
Just as he heard her curse in realizations, his gaze froze as his eyes met with the glimmer of the crystal balls in the corner of the room. It was then a pleasant memory of a passed class crossed his mind....
Back in one of the first classes he had with Ms. Sycamore, she had brought up the lesson of seeing through a crystal ball. Being a cynic, and one to believe in the more legitimate ways of magic, Divination was one of the classes he had little interest in. Therefore, just like anything else that leads to boredom, Chaz had to alleviate it by helping himself to three of the balls and tossing, spinning and juggling them in the air. What made this more astonishing was that he was doing this as if the Professor was was absent instead of mere feet away. When she demanded to know why he was doing this, his smart response was simple: He told her that even if the future was set in stone as most people would say, then it could be easily changed in one way or another. As solid as it was, it could be carved, molded, shaped, or shattered by the character and choices of the person the future had been intended for and therefore what purpose would it serve to believe what you might see if looking through a piece of glass? Chaz explained this lightheartedly, changing the balls into birds just as he finished. Knowing that he had been clever, a smirk crossed his face..
Returning to the present, he blinked a few times before looking back at Celia when he felt her hand on his shoulder as she spoke, apologizing and attempting to reason with him. As stressed as he had been, he felt somewhat ashamed at his outburst because he had forgotten his own wisdom. Just because the present future was crappy didn't mean it had to be forever. There was still time to change things. Looking down briefly as hope started to bubble in his chest, his usual smirk appeared on his face as he replied, "Crystal balls then?" He quirked an eyebrow and moved away from her grasp before adding, sighing, "I can't believe it...even you have gone Gryffindor...Fine, but I can't say anymore than I already have.."
