Greek myth has probably been the most famous myth in the world. But in the late 90s, rumor spread, saying that the gods have returned in human forms, bestowing their powers and traits to young adults. As this came up, some people started to report witnessing teenagers having special abilities, such as controlling the weather, calling the dead, and every other impossible things.
An isolated boarding school was built for good, to keep these gifted teenagers from being exposed in the public and also to provide them a safe place to develop and train their powers. Apparently, it seems not only Greek gods have bestowed their powers on these gifted children. Recently it was discovered that other gods from other pantheons were also involved. Thus, the school was later renamed 'Pantheon Academy'.

"Well, your wish is my command," said Cel. "We're too near the clash. Hang on, again."
Cel secured Nemara's hands on her shoulders, taking great care as not to accidentally touch any exposed skin. Once she was confident of her friends' grip, Cel once again glowed. Her feet lifted from the ground, causing the grass blades beneath her to sway from the change of gravity.
Cel pushed herself through the air. She was a star cutting a path of light in the almost tangible darkness. Cel knew a thing or two in tracking as she often spent time in the woods with animals who were natural trackers. She knew that she had to find the ideal spot where not too many of the soldiers would pick. Somewhere dark and somewhat impassable.
"Hold on," said Cel to Nemara. She recalled her meeting with the owl she assimilated in her head. Once again, the images ran through her consciousness - the wind beneath her wings, the wriggling of a field mouse under her talons. Instantly, the dark field became clear in her sight. It was as if she put on night vision goggles. She surveyed the land, levitating a few hundred yards from the earth. A grove of stones caught her eye. It was the ideal place - there were a lot of shadows to hide them and the stones' precarious arrangement would make it hard for the soldiers to climb.
Cel sped towards the stones, concentrating her gravity on the grove. Suddenly, a figure caught her eye. In the darkness, it would be impossible to determine what it even was. Fortunately, her owl eyes allowed Cel to distinguish the Hades boy from the shadows. Of course, Cel thought. Hades and his shadows. In the last minute, Cel swerved to meet him, wondering why he wasn't in the auditorium. Cel knew of his power and was almost certain he could help. The angle was far from ideal and the sharp cut caused Cel to hurtle too near Hayden.
We're going to crash, though Cel in panic. Cel released a sudden burst of gravity on herself and Nemara. As a result, the two were knocked off their original course. With an almighty crash, Cel and Nemara landed on the earth, just a few feet away from the boy.
Cel slowly got on her feet, approaching Nemara.
"Are you okay?" she asked. "Sorry about that," extending her arm to help her friend. She looked at the pale face of the Hades boy.
"The people in the auditorium need our help," she said bluntly.

Having felt sick earlier Ichimo had gone to the bathroom. As the beat of the music racked his head he washed his face in the sink. He didn't know what was wrong. He felt like there was to much of something inside of him. He hadn't eaten or drank anything. His flask was untouched. Suddenly the music stopped. He could hear someones voice but was unable to make sense of what the voice was saying. Screams were erupting and he knew something was trouble. He could feel the energy in the air. As he turned around the bathroom door slammed open. Two men in black uniforms stormed in. He slipped his mask back on and smiled. "Hey you, are you one of them freaks." said one of the men. Anger roared inside his body. A freak, a freak. He was not a freak. These men. Who where they. He noticed the UN patches. "Hey, did you hear me."Said the man again. The man who had yet to speak walked forward and put his hand on his shoulder, gripping firmly. "Listen son we only want to help. Who are you." He said with a slight smile. "My name is Ichimo Ichida Innes. And to answer your question. Yes I am." Quickly he struck the male who had grabbed him in the chest causing him to gasp followed with a swift uppercut. The man fell back knocked out cold. "What did you do." The other man said in anger. "You killed him, you killed him with your freakish power you freak." The man started to charge. Ichimo noticed a syringe on the mans belt. A quick hit of that and Ichimo knew he would be out cold. The man lashed out with his fist but made a mistake. His form was too sloppy. He had power but no direction. Grabbing the mans arm and rolling back he kicked the man in his chest causing him to slam into the bathroom door. As the man struggled to get up Ichimo stepped on the mans back and caused the man to cry out in pain. "Don't move." Ichimo said pulling out his chefs knife. "I want some answers. What are you doing here. Don't make me ask twice." Ichimo touched the back of the knife against the man's neck. With a laugh the man spat and smiled. "We are here to make sure you freaks are taken care of. Right now more soldiers are storming your precious school. " Ichimo smiled. "They will never take us." Grabbing the syringe from the mans belt he slammed it into the mans neck and emptied the contents. "Good night Mr. solider." The man fell limp and Ichimo drug him and his comrade into the stall. This tux was constricting him. The soldier he took out first seemed to be about his size. He quickly stripped the man of his pants and shirt, cutting the sleeves of his shirt off. He slipped his flask into his pocket and carried his knife in his belt. He had found a few more knifes on the two soldiers bringing his total up five.
He stormed out of the bathroom only to find another soldier watching what seemed to be a massive melee. Students vs Soldiers. Before he could reach the soldier the man turned around. Before the man could yell, Ichimos foot struck him in his chest. as the man fell to the ground, the wind knocked out of him, Ichimo grabbed the syringe that was on the mans belt and stuck it into his neck. The man quickly fell asleep. Ichimo walked into the madness. He looked around for people he knew. He saw Skylar and thats all he noticed. He stormed into the battle, striking a man in the back of the neck, dropping him in one blow. This was quickly tunning into a blood bath. This is what they want. They were pronely taping this or have a live feed linked directly back to the UN. "SKYLAR" He yelled. He needed to find him.

Hayden Underweld Hades Underworld
...And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am...
Hayden was walking through the academy grounds, his hands in his pockets. It was as if armed men had not just tried to riddle him full of hypodermic needles. There had been two other attempts at his capture, since the first one. Needless to say Hayden disposed of them all just as easily. The most damage they did to Hayden was to annoy him, in that they were more than succesful. If irritation caused wounds, Hayden would have been sprawled on the ground bleeding enough liquid to dye a wedding dress, red. He was traversing through the thickets, cutting a straight path towards the dorm rooms. Not for the first time, he rethought his descision of not taking his car with him...sure enough the first retinue of soldiers had turned the million pound car into a million pound pin cushion.
Suddenly, there was a bright luminescence that began to approach from above. Hayden couldn't make out what it was exactly since the silvery nimbus blurred everything into shapeless light but Hayden didn't take any chances. He took his hands out of his pockets, reminiscent of how a knight would unsheathe a dual set of swords, and as he did a torrential mass of necromantic energy ignited then swirled around him, wreathing him in an aura of eerie green light that moved like living smoke.
The glowing whiteness made a sharp turn before crashing into the ground less than twenty paces away from where Hayden was standing. A gout of dust rose to the air, and Hayden's eyes burst afire with more of the ghostly green light. As if responding to his thoughts, his ghostly aura cleared the dust from his vicinity so that he could see what he was up against. A fit of coughing by a distinctly female voice echoed through the grounds. Realizing there was no danger he let go of his hold on the magic.
"Are you okay? Sorry about that," said one of the girls as she helped the second one up, she was slender like a deer and had coppery skin and midnight black hair. Hayden supposed that people would have called her beautiful, but he didn't consider such things. Her friend was a good head shorter, her skin was pale, but nothing compared to his ivory pallor. They turned to face with him, grime and dirt covered there faces and their dresses were wrinkled or ripped to the point they could have been called rags already.
"The people in the auditorium need our help," called the raven haired one. Hayden couldn't help but notice the distinctive hispanic accent upon her tongue. Hayden's eyes narrowed and slowly he lifted his arm, with his hand open pointed towards them. The swirling magical forces of the dead appeared once again, and without a word Hayden fired. The girls could have screamed or retaliated, it seemed as if Hayden was firing at them.
The green light took the form of a giant wraithlike face accompanied by a bloodcurdling scream. But the ghostly face merely washed across both girls, in an attempt to get to the triad of soldiers behind them. Hayden moved his arm in a gesture of pulling something towards himself. The three soldiers were engulfed in green light and were lifted off the air and dragged towards Hayden. They hung suspended before him for a moment, and he laxed his fingers twidling them as if working a puppet as the three soldiers began to revolve slowly in the air.
Hayden kept his eyes on the soldiers as he spoke to the two girls. "Do they?" was all he said, and he delivered it in such a tone of indifference he almost sounded bored. The soldiers still hung in the air, spinning unnaturally while the green light swirled about them sinuously.

Nemara rolled her eyes. She had met boys like this before. The brooding type, the "I could care less about the world" type. Hell, she had had a crush on one of those before, until he had led to her near capture at the hands of social services. From then on, she had no respect for that type. And the emotions she garnered from this boy... apathy. Pure unadulterated apathy. Nemara pushed it out of her own mind before it consumed her.
True to form, the boy looked as if he fit the mould. Dark hair, spiffy clothes, dark eyes... yeah, this boy practically dripped "mysterious brooding I hate everything" type. His discompassion for those who needed his help also screamed hubris. Whatever one may call it, excessive pride, or hubris, had many manifestations and this "fuck the world" attitude could certainly count as one of them. Who was it in the Iliad? Meleager? The man who refused to help his city just because he didn't care? That man met a sticky end.
Though she didn't show it, it took every ounce of her to not rip off her gloves and slap the kid. This pride would result in something horrible for the boy. Exploding heads were amongst the top of her thoughts. The screams of the hurt and scared begged for vengeance against their attackers. Nemara felt it at her very core. Or was that the goddess talking?
However, Cel apparently seemed to think they needed this boy. Undoubtably, this boy would only listen to Cel. Nothing Nemara could say would change his opinion given her relatively low status at school. Nemara wasn't keen to use her empathic ability on the boy either. She didn't know what kind of powers he held yet, having never met the kid. She could smell death on him, though. She had smelt that many times before and this boy reaked of it. He smelled like the night she had gained her ability... like fire, ash and burning hair.
That's when she felt sorry for him. All anger melted away. This apathy... it reminded her of her pre-Pantheon days. Damn, is that what I've been doing to people? she thought to herself. I was a monster. And when did I start caring about people? This boy had shaken Nemara more than she knew. This boy knew about vengeance, knew about her nature.
All she could respond was, "Yeah. They do." Her eyes were fixed on his, reflecting his own icy stare.

hanging from trees, made a bed of a barbed wire fence I'm on the loose with my neck in the noose but hey... I enjoy the intense _____________________________________
"Gotcha." Vino said, beads of sweat collecting on his forehead. He let his hands drop and the soldiers smacked the ground, their heads hitting the floor so hard they went unconscious. The vines remained entangled around their bodies, holding them fast in case they woke.
Vino glanced at the two girls. They looked fairly similar. Same build, same fair skin... Vino nodded and motioned towards the door, "Alright, you guys keep close to each other." Rather boldly, Vino took took Cammie's hand. It was soft and warm in his own. Mentally, he was grinning. Also mentally, he hoped Cammie wasn’t reading his mind again, instead still trying to block out his thoughts.
"Same plan. Don't focus on what I'm doing. Just focus on the exit." Vino gestured towards the exit, "And keep a hold of me, alright?" Before either of them could answer he shrouded the two girls and himself in an illusion. To the soldiers, the trio looked like nightmares, horrific visions that no one dared touch and each tailored to each specific man. To the students, they looked like stray balloons that had detached during the fray.
"Stay close to me!" He commanded again and began to lead them through the crowds. People began to shrink in fear away from the three, screaming. They fired wildly into the air, the darts hitting the walls or bouncing off the floor. Vino navigated carefully through the people, pushing them this way or that. One soldier fell to the ground crying when Vino touched him.

Torn apart by rage and fear Hold on to what brought you here Don't let it go _______________________________
Cammie had rarely been happier to see anyone than she was to see Vino. Despite everything that was happening, her heart fluttered a bit when they got back to him. Writing it off as just nerves, she was just glad to be one step closer to getting out of here, she told herself. And anyway, was glad she got back when she did, as it was obvious that Vino was exerting himself to keep the vines under control; she could see the sweat gathering on his forehead. She winced as the soldiers hit the ground. That would leave a mark in the morning.
Vino needn’t worry about her sticking close to Nat. She wouldn’t let Natellia out of her sight again until this whole mess was sorted out. And as Vino took her free hand, she wasn’t sure she wanted him to leave, either. Cam wanted to make sure he stayed safe, too, although she had less control over that.
Ok, same plan. Easy enough. Cammie didn’t say anything, what could she say, ‘hey Nat, this strange boy saved me from a group of rapist soldiers, and I don’t really know who he is or what he does, but we’re going to trust him.’ Even in her head, it sounded kind of stupid, like the things her mom had always told her not to do. ‘You trust too easily,’ Cammie had always been told. ‘It’s going to get you hurt.’ Well, this [i[was[/i] different, and what was the worst Vino could do? Nothing worse than those soldiers, Cam figured.
She looked toward the gaping hole in the auditorium, and across the ‘battle field,’ it seemed impossibly far. Taking strength from the two people on either side of her, Cammie nodded, focusing on ignoring Vino’s thoughts, and the terrified soldiers that ran and shot wildly as they approached. One soldier collapsed, sobbing, when Vino nudged him out of the way, and Cam squeezed more tightly Vino’s hand. She worried that this would be scaring her already frightened sister, heck, it scared her a little bit, but she trusted this boy that had come to her rescue. Cam wondered what he was making the soldiers see, but decided she didn’t want to know. Not now, she could always ask questions later.
Following closely behind Vino, not releasing his hand, Cammie looked back at Natellia. “We'll be ok now.” she said in what she hoped was a strong, reassuring tone, trying to comfort herself as much as her sister.
We know enough to make up lies which are convincing, but we also have the skill, when we will, to speak the truth.

...And I don't want the world to see me

When everything's made to be broken

He saw the pale girl stare at him with contempt, not that he wasn't used to it. He usually got that look from most other people who didn't like him or his personality. And like always Hayden gave it no heed, people always were oblivious to the things they didn't want to see.
One by one, he curled his fingers back towards himself and the suspended soldiers floated towards him, giving their yelps of terror. Hopelessness riled a persons beyond comprehension, and how hopeless could someone else feel considering that they were hung upside down on what seemed to be unseen forces that gave off the essence of death. No matter how apt their training had been these soldiers were not prepared to handle Hayden and what he could do. He gave a little blow, as if he were muting the flame of a candle and suddenly the two soldiers were thrown into the air as if launched from a prismatic cannon.
He placed his hand back inside his pocket and watched the two soldiers descend out of his line of sight before he looked back at the girls again. "You mean to say that an auditorium full of godly-reincarnations, including to the best of my Knowledge the self-proclaimed King of the Greek Pantheon cannot hold back a force that could not even scratch me?" he delivered his soliloquy in a tone of dreamy distance, it seemed that in spirit he wasn't even fully there.
"Or are the rest of you just that useless?" his last line he did not intend for to spite. It was a mere question of fact. Hayden found it hard to imagine that the combined force of Skylar, Phillip, and who knew whatever else could not hold back mere human soldiers.
Hayden had no desire to go back there, he had no desire to face the same people he had been trying to avoid the entire night. He took a step forward and shoved past the two girls as he made his way back towards the dorms.

Do it again Living Dead Girl _________________________________________
“Shut up Rash, you talk too much.” Jalileh said, almost as a reflex. She hardly noticed when Rash spoke anymore, instead just instantly telling him to shut up the moment he opened his… well, not mouth, but whatever it was. Rash’s favorite form to take was a lizard fly thing, but generally he was a shapeless form, much like now. As a constant whirring blur, Rash was much harder to read, but she deal with it somehow. She could always tell when he was about to do something because there was a slight pause and a change in the air.
Minoo was quiet, as usual. She didn’t care for the djinn and cared even less for his restless nature. Generally, that’s when people got hurt. No matter how she pleaded with the djinn to leave her sister alone, Rash would usually just make fun of Minoo and continue whatever he had planned for the day. Right now, Minoo was staring absently out a window, sighing heavily at the dewy grass. Rain was… annoying… to ghosts. It reminded them painfully of how dead they were, especially since it would just go right through them. And, out of all the comforts of having a body, Minoo missed showers the most. Rash liked to mock “pee-yew” at her from time to time, which usually caused some sort of commotion between the two. This could result in anything from loud eerie noises to windows breaking to… worse stuff. Either way, it had rained earlier in the day and now she was sighing that it was over.
Jalileh was bored. When Jalileh was bored, her sidekicks were bored. Neither of them liked to let her out of their sight, so they would sit and ho-hum just as much as she, waiting for her to move and think of something to do.
“Minoo, why don’t you go explore? I’ve already see three ghosts trailing behind various people. Maybe find a boyfriend?” Jalileh suggested. After all, Minoo was dead. How many sins could she commit by flirting with other ghosts?
Minoo glared at her, but continued to sigh out the window. “What’s going on down there?” Minoo asked absently in Farsi. “What are all those lights?”
“Damn, you’re a dumb bitch! It’s a fucking party, what do you fucking think it is?!” Rash shot back.
“It’s not a party. It’s a dance or some such thing,” Jalileh shrugged. “I’m not going.”
“Why not? They’re shooting all your little classmates…” Rash took his favorite lizard-fly form and pointed one clawed finger out the window, tapping the glass. It cracked. “Could be fun…”
“Rash! This is a community dorm! I’m gonna have to pay for that- wait, shooting people?” Jalileh asked. True, she had been sneaking peaks all night at the auditorium which was clearly visible from her dorm room. However, habit had dictated she stay in, occasionally watching disinterestedly from her room. The living were much more callow than the dead. But, the fact that they were now being shot caught her attention.
Jalileh was off her bed and staring out the window at the auditorium. Some sort of swat team was pouring into the building. Shots were being fired. She couldn’t tell if they were darts or… something else. Lots of people were screaming. Pretty soon, smoke was billowing out of the building. Doors were smashed open by some sort of beast. Students came pouring out. There was crying and screaming. Outside, she could see more than just the living. Dead relatives of various students were screaming, screaming for their loved ones to run, go, do anything. They weren’t heard, of course, but Jalileh heard them like jagged glass in her mind. She felt a headache overtake her, as if they were all yelling in the room at the top of their lungs.
Minoo noticed her sister was… collapsing. She ran over to Jalileh as she slumped to her feet. She stared rather helpless at her, trying to fan the air so she could breath. Jalileh just felt faint. Rash was laughing at her.
Crawling back to her feet, she peaked over the window, sliding it up. The acrid smell of smoke filled her nostrils. Jalileh stared, horrified. Even if she were to do something about it, what could she do? All she could do was see the dead. And hear them.
“Rash! Go see what you can do!” She asked.
“Um… no.”
“Why not?”
“And go against my own kind? No, not so much.” He gestured towards the open window with one clawed finger, slowly billowing back into his… other state. Jalileh glanced at what he was pointing at. Then she saw.
There was easily an army of dead outside, not just the mourning ones. No, there were fully trained army of dead, soldiers, djinns, and about a million dead bodies just waiting to manifest at someone’s call. And they were just staring, not doing anything to help the living inside. Jalileh stared at them, unsure of what to make of it.
Then, she saw the boy. He was tall, dark haired, and rich. She knew him. Though he probably didn’t know her, their families knew each other very well both going around in similar circles. He was wealthy. About as wealthy as she was, only this one didn’t seem to have any qualms about advertising it given his clothes and car. He was an Underweld. In fact, his family, a British family, had been partially responsible for the Shah’s overthrow. At least, they had financial ties in her country. His family had been partially responsible for seeing that the Khanyafars remained where they were, as opposed to being usurped by the new regime. It was a kind of “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” deal and Jalileh’s father had been more than happy to comply.
And they were all looking to him, this boy, like a general, a king even. He didn’t seem keen on using his army either. In fact, after talking to two girls, he began walking away, towards the boy’s dorm.
Rash slightly pushed Jalileh aside and said, “Hey! I know that guy! The one standing right next to that depressed kid! Yeah, he’s my cousin Paco!”
Jalileh show him a sidelong glance, saying, “Cousin Paco?”
“What? He spawned out of the pit next to mine…” Rash lied. She knew when he lied. He always lied, unless it served some other purpose. However, the name seemed to fit. Djinn had a thing about people never finding out their true name, so they made stupid ones up like Paco and Rash. Only those that knew their true names could control them. This boy, whether he knew it or not, knew Paco’s true name.
“Hey, Jalileh, isn’t that…?”
“Hayden? Yeah… yeah it is Minoo.”
Neither girl had met him personally, but, as said before, their fathers ran in similar circles. Both were aware of his existence, the son of one of “daddy’s friends.” Custom dictated that they never see each other, but they had been aware of his existence, via listening through the doors while their mothers conversed. She had seen a few pictures of him through the media or pictures his mother had. She knew exactly who he was.
Jalileh stared at the boy intently, suddenly forgetting that the auditorium was on fire. No doubt someone could take care of it. The school staff would be by any minute. However, this boy might not. She had never thought he was particularly attractive. However, she was fascinated that he was… well, who he was. Who’d have thought there was someone similar to her, especially running in the same social groups? And so close all these years? Not to say she was surprised. People who dealt in the business of death, whether it be munitions, metals or oil, tended to spawn death deities for children.
Rash cackled, “Look! That guy totally got shot in the ass! Hilarious!”
Jalileh ignored him. Rash wasn’t referring to Hayden, he was referring to some stray student, thus Jalileh didn’t care so much. She watched as he strolled along the lawn, admiring the army following him. He walked like a general. She didn’t know what to think of it. All she could do was watch and wonder if that would be her one day. Minoo placed a ghostly hand on Jalileh’s shoulder.
“I don’t like him,” She said in Farsi. “He has a cold face.”
“The whole family did, Minoo,” Jalileh responded. “Remember his mother?”
Minoo nodded, “Yeah. She seemed so sad.”
The boy’s mother was royalty, like their own mother. As a noblewoman and the great-grandchild of a Shah, the two women would occasionally converse while their husbands talked business about mining and oil reserves. Jalileh remembered the woman as being sad, though she only ever saw her through a cracked door. The children weren’t allowed in the room when “Mummy and daddy’s friends” were visiting.
“Are you going to have an army follow you one-day?” Minoo asked softly.
“I dunno. Maybe.”
“Are you going to look like him? With all those... dead?” Minoo asked.
“I dunno.”
“Go say hi.” Minoo shrugged. Jalileh snorted and said, “Nuh-uh. See how he brushed off those other girls? And that’s WITH an auditorium on fire.”
“I’ll go say hi.” Rash said, growing into a more immense form of his lizard body. Jalileh shook her head, “No. Let him be.”
She understood. Gods of death… well, they were a little different than the rest.
However, before she could stop him, he was already phasing out the window and on his way to meet Hayden. Jalileh's breath jumped to her throat. Before she could realize what she was doing, she was jumping out of the window and running after him. Minoo sighed and followed, calling out in Farsi, "Don't bother! Let the little jerk get killed!"
Tag: Hayden, if you want; any Outift: Here Lyrics: Living Dead Girl- Rob Zombie Note: Hope you don’t mind the liberties I took with Hayden’s family knowing Jalileh’s family. I just figured, because they’re both probably the richest in school, their dads would know each other, especially being in such similar fields. However, the kids themselves don’t know each other directly, so if you want to keep it that way, that’s cool. I just had a stroke of muse so I wanted to write.

“Meh, cut your losses I guess,” Nemara said to Cel, turning her back on the boy as he strolled along his merry way towards the dorm.
“So… Anyway you can make the moon bigger or something? Influence the tides to cause a flood?” Nemara’s mind wandered as various thoughts about what exactly Cel would do floated through her head. She tended to do that whenever she found out about a new power. Even with the season manipulators, she thought about how they could spontaneously freeze and then melt the person on the spot. “Or can you maybe levitate them all into a ball and smush them? I think most of the students are gone.
Nemara bit her lip, staring back at the auditorium. People where still screaming. Nemara wondered to herself, Hey, where is the staff right now? Why haven’t they come running out here? Or are the students all alone in campus?
A soldier tried to creep up on the pair. Nemara, a touch annoyed, shot a bolt at the soldier. His gun morphed into a python and began to strangle the man on the spot, his eyes bulging. “Huh… well that’s new… what were the odds of that happening? Must have run over a snake while driving or something,” She said airily. “Anyway, where’s the staff? Do they have a special area of the school or something?”

Cicada was still getting used to the fact that her best buddy was now a werewolf-type monster. Though she trusted that Caleb, the person, was in control, she was on edge, uneasily waiting to see if the monster would take over and rip her to pieces. So far, so good; the most damage Caleb-beast had done was lick her cheek, which was both weird and uncomfortable. Cicada didn’t like regular dog slobber, and Caleb-dog slobber was…well, weird. She wiped at her cheek with the back of her hand, muttering aloud, “It had to be a dog. It couldn’t be a giant cat. Or a spider. A dog. Of course.” However, there wasn’t much she could do about it, except work with Caleb to save everybody.
Wow, she sure sounded important. Now, how to go about doing this?
Caleb seemed to have his own ideas about what to do. He picked up Cicada around her waist, which was a shock, to be sure. Cicada held on to his hand for dear life, wide-eyed and speechless. Which was just as well, because if she hadn’t been speechless, she would have been screaming her head off. What the hell was he doing? The answer became clear only seconds later, when he swung her onto his back. Cicada finally got it: there was no way she’d be able to keep up with him, so she’d hang on and hope for the best. She held on as best as she could, appreciating her wall crawling ability even more now. It was helping her stick onto Caleb, despite the fact that one hand was still wrapped around the gun. Without further ado, Caleb ran inside.
If it hadn’t been a life or death situation, it would have been a blast. Cicada made a mental note to herself to have werewolf-Caleb run around with her more often; it was very exciting. He ran through soldiers like they were nothing, and Cicada took her first shot at trying to shoot somebody. There was no way she was going to kill anybody, so she aimed low, so she’d be hitting somebody’s leg. She wanted to close her eyes, but resisted. She pulled the trigger, and was surprised at the lack of recoil. A second later, she saw why. Apparently, not all of the soldiers had planned on killing the kids; this gun was full of hypodermic needles. The one she had shot missed her target by a long shot, but at least she wasn’t at risk for killing anybody. Feeling oddly refreshed, Cicada tightened her hold on Caleb’s back, waiting for him to stop so she could be useful.
Caleb made his way to the side of the room, out of harm’s way. He picked Cicada up and put her gently on the ground. She brushed the hair out of her face, feeling that the ends were singed. The room was hot, despite the several holes in the walls, and it appeared she had caught on fire at some point. She opened her mouth to tell Caleb something, but before she could, he went charging off towards a group of soldiers. One broke off and came for Cicada, aiming a gun at her. Thinking quick, she did what she had done before: leaped straight up and clung to the wall. This time, she shot her own gun, and hit the soldier in the foot. He started to shout, then his eyes rolled up in his head and he collapsed to the ground.
Meanwhile, Caleb had come back over, clutching another one of the soldiers in his huge hands. Cicada dropped back to the ground, wondering what he wanted. When he began whaling on the soldier, Cicada protested. “Caleb, stop it! We aren’t killing people!” So far, she had never asked if Caleb had ever killed anybody in his monster-state, and she didn’t really want to know. But she wasn’t going to let him run completely rampant. Before he could protest or anything, she pointed the gun down and shot the man in the arm. She looked up at Caleb, shrugging and asking, “What now?”

The monster was suddenly confused. Cicada had shot the man in the arm and Caleb sensed his heartbeat go down to… well, low enough that he didn’t care about Caleb’s massive fists. The monster was confused. Why didn’t Cicada want him to kill the man? He was on their territory. Anyone who pushed onto their territory needed to be dealt with, swiftly. But she wanted him alive? She was weird. However, the monster stopped smashing the man’s face in. He was bleeding, but he’d live. Might need a metal plate though. His jaw was pretty smashed.
Caleb forced the beast to stop. The beast did, disappointed, and kind of nudged the limp man away as if he were hiding a mess under the bed. Caleb focused on Cicada with his one good eye and forced the beast to listen. It was a little like wrangling a bull, as Caleb had become fond of watching since he moved to the states. Those cowboys would jump on the bull’s back and just hang on for as long as they could before being bucked. It was sort of the same thing with Caleb’s psyche when transformed. His human side just had to hold on while the beast bucked and tried to take over. However, now that his friend was involved, Caleb fought the beast hard, trying to get it to focus and listen. It wasn’t easy. His beast’s mind was ready to charge headlong into the fray again and bring Cicada more “presents.”
After Cicada had shot the man, she looked back at Caleb. The beast stared back at her. She asked what to do and the beast snorted. It then made an “I dunno” kind of sound, only growlier. It was a rare moment when Caleb was actually groaning inwardly at his own blatant stupidity. What had the beast think it could achieve? And it had brought Cicada back into the fray.
An errant praying mantis started crawling up Caleb’s exposed skin. The beast swatted at it. If he had a tail, it would have been swinging. However, Caleb had an idea. There were only a few soldiers left. Those that weren’t unconscious were running out of the hole in fear, probably certain that their pay grade wasn’t worth taking on a whole school of super-powered teenagers. Only a few were left and those that weren’t were trying to run out. Since there were only a handful of students left, it just meant that they needed to clear out the remaining students and straggling less-than-willing soldiers who were looking for an out anyway. Caleb was big enough to at least scare people in the right direction and he was pretty sure enough students would trust Cicada enough to take a hint and follow their lead.
Unfortunately, Caleb couldn’t articulate this idea, at least not while transformed. And thought the beast wasn’t aware of it, Caleb had noticed the darts hitting his torso. If he changed back to a human, he would certainly pass out and be no use to anyone. Not to mention, the beast was still restless and articulation was on the bottom of its list. It had been a miracle that he had managed to articulate her name, let alone a full blown plan. As a result, he was stuck kind of staring dumbly at Cicada figuring out a way articulate that all they had to do was usher out the remaining people. He stared dumbly at his big paw-like claws and had an idea.
“Riradah!” He grunted.
Hoping he had her attention, as he couldn’t tell because of visual disadvantage, Caleb held up his claws. He felt the beast get excited that they might be ripping something open, but felt it’s disappointment as his hands began to mime.
If they hadn’t been in a flaming room full of super-powered students and soldiers, it probably would have looked weird that a monster was trying to use hand mime to convey a sort of complicated escape plan. He held up one clawed finger, pointed to Cicada, pointed back to the finger. He held up a fist, pointed from the fist to himself. He had the finger jump on the “back” of the fist. He mimed it riding the fist in a rectangle, roughly a miniature version of the auditorium. He then pointed to his throat, and made a “no good” gesture with both hands. He pointed to Cicada and made a very poor imitation of her voice. At least, it would have sounded like her if she were seven feet tall and had the vocal cords of a dire wolf. It was high pitched, for Caleb, and sounded a little like Minnie Mouse on steroids. Caleb continued with his mime. He gestured quickly to the three or four remaining students still in the auditorium, not including the few that preferred to fight. He then gestured to the handful of soldiers that were either too stubborn to leave or too scared to flee. He mimed the little finger Cicada, while riding on Caleb, to scream at the students to follow them out the door. He mimed the rest of the soldiers screaming and jumping out of the way, with Cicada shooting them if they didn’t move, so they'd at least be unconscious. The little finger Cicada and the fist Caleb finished a second circuit of the auditorium and then left, all the remaining students and scared soldiers now safely out of the auditorium. He ended in a kind of Vaudeville “ta-dah!” move.
Caleb was panting from the effort. The monster was… well, confused. As a soldier crept up behind Caleb, his fist backhanded the man into the wall. It was a bit harsh. Caleb couldn’t tell whether it was because the monster was mad or embarrassed at itself for it's little interpretive dance performance.

As Cammie grabbed her, Nat could feel her insides burning with all of the emotions. The bad part was that she hadn't had enough training yet to control that and turn it into energy yet. Right now the best that she could do was hold onto her sister and try not to hit anyone from Pantheon with her surges of emotions.
While they were running through the crowds Nat could smell the sweat and blood coming from everywhere. Hopefully no students were hurt or dead now. If any of her friends were hurt in the end then she would kill who ever did it.
As her sister, the other man and her pulled each other through the battle Nat thought 'Why is he doing this? Why would some stranger want to help out her sister and her?'. Almost as soon as the though crossed her head Nat felt waves of something from the two of them. It wasn't anything Nat had felt before. Ah! Obviously they liked one another. Well this wasn't a good time to play match maker but if she did get out of there then match maker was a definit game that she would want to play.
While the emotions were ready to burst out, Nat tried to make the soldiers angry with each other so they would fight each other instead of the students. This actually worked very well. Her power was growing emmensely over this period of time. Maybe when there was a huge surge of emotions like tonight then her power grew?
Some soldiers that got the "wrath" of Nat's power were looking confused and walking out of Pantheon. She didn't have a very strong power but at least she wasn't completely useless.
It was hard to ignore the cries of the students as they rushed by, but Nat was scared and needed to get out of there. It would still be chaos but just not as much. She looked to Cammie and saw that fear and a sort of smile was on her face. The fear Nat could understand, but the smile? Oh wait it was for Vino, nevermind.
It seemed like the auditorium had no end and they would be running forever. Nat looked over at her sister and responded "I hope so Cammie" she said in a shaky and pained voice as a bullet just barely missed her head .

Ichimo fought his way slowly across the room. Skylar had dissapered into the mess but he saw another he reconized. The young girl he had asked to dance before he felt sick. Cicada, that sounded close but he wasn't sure. His head was fuzzy at the moment. His eyes snapped open as he grabbed a hand that held a gun pointed at his chest. He bent the hand back, snapping the wrist and placing a fist into the mans stomach. These soldiers were starting to make him rather angry. As he fought his way across the floor he noticed a strange being beside the girl. After watching him backhand a soldier he started to move faster . He was more focused as his mind set on the two. His fists and feet lashed out more violently. Guns were being brought into play now. He had shot a gun a few times but wasn't really sure on how to use them. He was more of a knife guy. He had seen the effects of syringes, darts were coming out of the guns and he was sure the same drug was in them. One hit and it was lights out.
He noticed the soldiers were now targeting the more powerful students. He found himself with four soldiers heading toward him. He was only armed with his knife and a few he lifted from the two who attacked him in the bathroom. He smiled as he noticed that all had their handguns sheathed. Maybe they saw him as a easy target. They were wrong. As the first couple jumped toward him he ducked down and placed a palm on the stomachs of each and lifted them into the wall behind him. as they crashed into the wall he smiled at the other two. His head was starting to throb. The sickness was getting worse. As the others turned to run he moved forward, kicking up a fallen tray and launching it at the first to run. A clang followed the sound of a body dropping. He went to where the crumpled bodys of the two fallen soldiers had fallen and pulled the guns plus two extra clips from the bodys. As he reentered the madness he fired off a few shots, the darts reaching there marks and soldiers dropping. Finally he reached Cicada and reached out for her arm. As he did he noticed a gun flash. He moved infront and felt the dart graze his shoulder. He gasped out loud as he fell to his knees and pointed the gun at the shooter. He pulled the trigger three times and watched the soldier crumple. "Cicada, we need to end this soon. Your the only one I know besides Skylar."

Defend what is yours, they will not take our souls It’s time now to rise and fight
Cicada had no idea how much control she had over Caleb. Clearly, he was in there somewhere, but there was also a monster-dog thing that wanted to kill people. Luckily, the monster was listening to her, or Caleb was making him listen, or something. Though the man would probably need a hospital bed (and an IV, and some meds, and surgery…), he’d live. Caleb now seemed disappointed, and shoved the soldier to the side, against the wall. Cicada rolled her eyes, hoping Caleb was doing bringing her presents. After all, there really wasn’t much she could do with unconscious soldiers, especially ones that were bleeding all over the place.
Cicada figured that by staying in one place, they were becoming a target. An especially big target, with Caleb being super tall and scary. Before they moved, Cicada took the fallen soldier’s gun, making sure it matched the one she already had so it would be shooting darts. A few more soldiers were coming their way, and Cicada shot at them, mostly missing because of her atrocious aim. One smirked at her, raising his own gun to put Cicada to sleep. Frustrated, she jumped forward, running around to behind him and climbing up his back. She then gave him a knock on the head with the butt of her gun, and he crashed to the ground. She rolled off, panting slightly but with eyes glowing. Who knew she could actually fight.
Seeing that they were in danger where they were, Cicada tugged Caleb a few more meters along the wall. They weren’t in a much different position, but at least they weren’t surrounded by unconscious soldiers. AT least, not until Caleb started going berserk again. She now took the time to look up at Caleb, to see if he had found an answer to their problem. He seemed confused at first, just staring blankly at her. Then he said her name (or the closest he could get to her name), and Cicada perked up, hoping for a brilliant idea. What she got was…interpretive dance.
Cicada watched Caleb dumbly as he mimed out his plan, the gun hanging loosely from her hand. She wished he would just change back to normal and tell her, but she supposed he had a reason for not doing that. She squinted her eyes, trying to understand what he was saying. There was her, and him, circling the audotorium…as Caleb reached behind her to knock out a soldier (she barely flinched this time, she was proud to say) she understood. “You want me to climb on your back, and tell everybody to get out?” she asked hesitantly for confirmation. “Shoot all the soldiers that don’t leave, and round everybody up so they’re all safe.” At least, that’s what she thought he was trying to say. She shrugged, adding, “Well, it’s the best idea we’ve got.”
As a result of the whole predicament, Cicada was not paying much attention to what was going on around her. All that was important for survival was keeping track of Caleb, and the few soldiers that were still menacing the pair. Thus, she gave a muffled shriek when a hand wrapped around her arm, then pushed her backwards. A dart that grazed the person’s shoulder shot past her head, and she barely ducked in time to avoid it. She recognized him; Ichimo, the guy she had danced with before the masquerade had become a massacre. He seemed of like mind that it was imperative that everybody get OUT.
“Yeah, we’re working on it,” she replied, somehow managing to sound sarcastic. She frowned, noticing that he had been shot. “Are you okay? Did you get hit by one of the darts?” She shook her head slightly, trying to dislodge the million questions she had. “Never mind. Caleb came up with a plan to get people out.” She suddenly realized that she should probably introduce the two, so Caleb didn’t try to attack Ichimo. “Ichimo, this is Caleb, and he is normally a person. Caleb, this is Ichimo, please don’t eat him.” Well, that ought to take care of it.

Caleb’s first instinct was to throw the new male across the room or use him as a bludgeon. The monster thought he was challenging him over Cicada. The monster had become really protective over the little person. Short of flat out rubbing his scent all over her like a cat, which he didn’t think she’d appreciate, he thought he made it quite clear to everyone around that the little person was his. He growled when the little man touched her arm and made her give a squeak of surprise. At least, it sounded like a squeak to him.
However, Cicada seemed to like this one. Or, at least, she didn’t want him squished. It seemed like a bad idea to the monster. He glanced from Cicada to the little man. He gave the little man a sniff once, decided that he was a Beta male not trying to challenge him and snorted, looking back at Cicada. Caleb just watched horrified. The moment the monster smelled a challenger, he tended to take over. Now, he let Caleb have control again.
Caleb glanced at Cicada again and nodded.
